2003 Thorn-Clarke Shiraz Shotfire Ridge - Barossa Valley, Australia $18.50/$17.49
No decant. Deep, dense nose of black and blue berries. Intense, deep, and rich flavors of blackberry mixed with a dash of plum on a cedar bed of mocha and vanilla along with faint hints of pepper. Full mouthfeel and full bodied, this has a consistent palate with a slightly glycerol edge. The intensity of this wine will not be to everyone’s liking. Was much more polished after decanted an hour.
