Anyone interested in an offline in Austin on September 12, 13 or 14?

BYOB restaurant would be preferred so we can do a themed tasting.

Pelochain, the 12th might work for me.

I will get back to you if the 12th is indeed the date.

I will let you know on Monday, but looks good currently.

We are tied up on the 12th and 13th so this won't work for us. Things really got busy after school started!

I hope we can indeed.

Winetex can suggest many fine restaurants if needed.

Pelochain, in Texas you can bring your own wine into any restaurant without a full bar that allows corkage. That said there are a few places in Austin where we BYOB.

Mirabelle - in mid-north Austin; Very BYOB friendly with good food

Uchi -$$$; in our opinion the best restaurant in town; corkage used to be free but they are charging $20pb now. We open multiple bottles and are usually only charged for one bottle.

34th Street Cafe - very BYOB friendly but the food can be inconsistent

Wink and Zoot - haven't BYOBd at these but I think you can; good food on the $$$ side

Just saw this post--I need to check this more often!. Thanks wine+art for thinking of me but I was in Boston that weekend. Agree on Mirabelle, and the best part is that I live just down the street!

I look forward to the next opportunity for an offline in Austin.

Sorry for not getting back to you wine+art. As I said earlier, I'm not in the habit (yet) of checking the off-line page and didn't check it until today. I'll try to get better.

Mirabelle's had a Catena wine dinner on October 1 that we attended and thoughly enjoyed both the wine and the food.

I don't know that I could have done it two nights in a row.

Thanks again for thinking of me and I do look forward to sharing a bottle or two with you soon.

Austin Wino, the food was indeed very nice, with excellent service as well.

We will hook up soon again. Winetex had family (still) in town, so she was out also.

Soon.
