I'm there in spirit. I'll be jazzed for the next off-line in the fall. Something in the "crush" timeframe would be great...

I've made reservations for 12 at 6:30 for Ponti. I'll firm up the numbers this weekend for the final count.

OK we have-
BRR
Mrs BRR
Mattach - 2
Ampuis
Sibster

So I'm changing the reservation to 7 people at 6:30. Do I need to drop any names to get a deal on our corkage? Or Ampuis, are you taking care of that? Smile

Yeah, Ampuis, let me get right on that.......

More than likely it will be a Hess Collection Napa Chardonnay bottling (in the top 100 last year) and also maybe an AP Vin (Clos Pepe) or MacPhail Pinot Noir (Pratt).

2005? I want something fresher - no more of this old wine. Can someone bring the 06 or maybe an 07 Cote Rotie? Razz

We will also be bringing something for dessert - Pride Mistelle de Viognier (NV)

Should I bring a second Pinot Noir? I mean, if we're going to do this in true Seattle Tasting Group style, we need to have at least one bottler per person! Razz I was thinking a 2004 Belle Pente Pinot Belle Pente Vineyard.

Cheers!

guys and gals - quick change...the mrs. cannot make it as we just found out that we will be hosting a friend's daughter from france that night and we are a little uncomfortable leaving her alone for the night.

instead, my buddy tim (he was at the wild ginger offline) is going to take her place. sorry for the short notice - deb is quite bummed as you can imagine but it is unavoidable unfortunately. i am still bringing both bottles...will find out what tim is bringing as well.

matt

We will DEFINITELY have to raise a glass for Deb (and tpb and Mrs. tbp while we're at it!).

Ampuis / MsBacchus: do we need to take our own stems, or will Ponti supply plenty?

Cheers!

I had a couple of beers with the owner and squared a good deal. We may be pushing it asking for more than 2 stems but then again, its Chard and PN right?...Someone told me that its tough place on wine being bought in, and yes it was but WE ARE ON!!!! Big Grin Big Grin

Ampuis-

You're both a gentleman and a scholar. And a wino. Just like the lot of us! Thanks for taking that on and I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I'm probably going to at least bring some stems and leave them in the car if we don't use them.

Cheers!
