Per the suggestion, lets have great seafood with Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs. I'll bring the over oaked Chard from Cali.

Just ate there last night with Mrs tpb and others. I brought a 2002 Beaux Freres The Upper Terrace Pinot. The wine (and food) was nice, but I recall enjoying the service/ambiance better a few years back. I felt like we were stuffed in a corner by the server entry. Hope we can join in also on the 4th. Will try and stuff it in our schedule right away...

Ok, I'm bring the HDV Chardonnay 2004 WS rated 94. There's the notes -

A brilliant effort. Intense, deep and concentrated, with pure, sharply focused fruit that reverberates with flavor, offering tiers of fresh-cut apple, pear and citrus flavors that are crisp and lively. Has the richness and density to age a decade. Drink now through 2010. 1,712 cases made. –JL

I'm looking through my Pinots to see what else I'll bring.

Hello all!

I just want to toss this out there to everyone, just to test the waters. Is there any possibility that Friday, August 3rd would work for this offline? We can manage Saturday the 4th, but Friday would be easier. If that's not possible, absolutely no sweat - let's do Saturday. What do y'all think?

By the way, I might opt for a 2004 Belle Pente Pinot Belle Pente Vineyard OR a 2001 Peter Michael Le Moulin Rouge.

Cheers!

Looks like I am out for the first weekend in August. Sounds like the Mrs has made Portland plans that weekend. Frown
Shouldn't be bad though, as it is another wine related activity. I'll miss the Chard/Pinot combo night. Suck on that oak for me a bit... Wink

Hello, everyone! Sorry I haven't chimed in, but I am planning on being there August 4th. I have some Hess Select Napa and Ch. Ste. Mich. Canoe Ridge Chardonnary that were both in the Top 100 last year.

As for Pinot.......I know Mattach was looking forward to maybe trying the AP Vin I have (I think I have one Rosella and two Clos Pepe Vineyards) - so maybe something like that.

Ampuis-

Just from the comment that Friday the 3rd would work better for you. That's all.

That, and comments I've heard from others... Wink

Sept. 1 could work, too.

Cheers!

Ok, so I'll point out that September 1st is Labor Day weekend and people are traveling. I'm not so that weekend works for me. If everyone wants to change then I'd change it to Sept 2 at 94 Stewart since there would be no corkage. Please confirm that Aug 4 is out for everyone and then I'll repost the new day (Sept 2 no fee or Sept 1 fee) and restaurant.
