Felicia at Centre Street said we can do the dinner at her place in J.P.
She and Micheal are great people. The restaurant is small but a popular place. I have eaten there once before and enjoyed my dinner. They do not have Crystal Stems so bring your own
if it matters that much to you.
Let me know if this is where we want to go. I will need to firm up numbers soon.
James

Sorry, can't make the 6th. I'm already using my get out of jail free card for a tasting on the 7th.

I rarely get online these days but if I happen to catch another date for a tasting I will try to attend. Have fun!

By the way...I'm assuming it is on Centre Street in JP. What time? What wines are we bringing? What kind of $$ can I expect to spend?

I can be there by 6:30 or 7.

-I think this is the address:
669 Centre Street
Jamaica Plain
617) 524-9217

-Don't know the pricing, maybe Whineguy can give us an idea. I don't think it is crazy expensive or anything.

-As for wines, I read earlier in the thread where N. Rhone and Alsace were mentioned. RW&RS, do you want to know specific wines or just general agreement on the types, quanitities, and price ranges?

Looking forward to it!
Michael

The prices at Centre Street range from $9 to $26 if my memory is correct. Matt cannot be there until 7:30pm. Is 7:30pm going to be OK with Everyone?
As for wines bring what you want to drink, I will likely bring a white Rhone and a Aussie Red. Don't hold me to it though.
Price ranges should also be what you are comfortable with spending, my guess is under $50 retail.
If someone wants to bring that hidden bottle of 1985 La Tache that is welcome also.

oops, last note posted at the same time as whineguy. I will bring a dry rose from provence, and a cote rotie. I have no idea how the rotie is drinking. Or, I can bring a mag of 96 chateau malmaison. The cote rotie is a 96 B levet. Anyone care which one I bring?

It was great to meet everybody last night! I had a great time and really enjoyed the wines and the company. The food and service were top-notch, too.

As your faithful scribe, I will post some notes later tonight after the kiddies are put to bed.
