I would be into an off-line in boston with enough notice. The problem I have is I work on the weekend. Monday and Tuesday works for me. Where would you want to have an event and when? Cheers, James
Mondays and Tuesdays are fine with me as well. I'm fairly new to the city, so I don't know of any places that are BYOB. Do you all? I live in Quincy, in an apartment complex. I'm sure we could get the clubhouse here, if we could find enough people to warrant. Otherwise, I used to work at Smith and Wollensky...maybe I could swing a room there, and see if they would turn a blind eye to bottles being snuck in.....

Is everyone in agreement for Monday the 6th? I like the idea of a White and a Red or rose. What price point do you want to stay within? I will most likely be three to four people.
Who will place the call to Troquet. I don't think they will let us have free corkage IMO.
I know nothing about Chinatown. Anyone here have any experience. The only place that i know of for sure that allows BYO is the Herb Lyceum out in Groton.

King Fund allows BYO and has good food but it is small. There are other places that Boston area tasting groups have gatherings such as Molana in Watertown, Sweet Basil and Eurotaste in Needham, Diva Fiorentino in Woburn.
I believe the link for Boston area BYOs is incorrect. Per Mass law any restaurant with a liquor license cannot legally allow patrons to bring their own alcohol. Of course if you know the owner or manager sometimes they overlook this law.
