I'm in Atlanta for a meeting on Sept.15th and am thinking of staying over Friday night.

If grenny, kybo, G&PN or others are up for anything... let me know.

I might try to twist the arm of wiml, skosh, PurpleHaze and others to join us. Big Grin

Atlanta is a cheap flight!

Okay, PurpleHaze said this might work for him as well. Big Grin

He has been getting a little bored on his Friday nights I think. Razz

Be sure to wear a garland of garlic around your neck! Maybe a stake restaurant?

Just one more sip.

No way I'll make it. I'll be spending 6 days in SoCal playing golf by day and offlining by night leading up to this date. No way I'm getting on another plane and spending the weekend away after that. Have fun guys!

Good plan in S.Cal.

I'm heading to the Broadmoor next week with the same schedule of golf, dinner and wine. Wink

Looked at the weather today and it should be 58-79. YES! Big Grin

Exactly. Golf every morning. Wine and good food every evening with good friends. How can you beat that? Cool

BTW, playing Torrey Pines South for the first time. Cool

That's what I've heard. Bring lots of balls (no wise cracks people). I understand they've already started prepping the course for the 2007 Open so I'm psyched. Cool

w+a,
I thought the PGA was in November? Wink

We would love to have you, PH, and just a skosh - and anyone else for that matter. With this being a Friday night, we will want to get a head count and decide on a restaurant quick to make reservations. I’ll check around with the ATL crew.

Greeny,

Perhaps I can twist your arm to bring or sell me a La Cadeau Pinot.

I was out of town when Tom was in Dallas and did not get to try any. Frown

w+a,
I’d love to bring the La Cadeau. Makes my life easy, heh, heh, heh. In fact, I’ll bring both the ‘02 & ‘03.

As for the place, I’d like to have this at Canoe, but let me get in touch with G&PN since he has the inside contact.

Hey Joe...have a great time at Torrey. I lived there for a while and got on a few times for $40. Unreal deal--made me feel better after the round--tough.

Well, Canoe is a no-go. So I have reserved a room for 12 at Bones, but we can change as needed based on size and suggestions.

If anyone would like to attend or would like some more details, please send me a PM over on www.winodepot.com.

Haven't been on board this forum in a while, but Drazi gave me the head's up via e-mail. My wife and I are hopeful that we can particpate, but this is the "middle night" of our club's annual member-guest, so my attendance depends greatly on the kick-off time. I'm lobbying for late (7:30 or 8:00).

G&PN,
I’m sure we can accommodate a 7:30-8:00 start time.

We have room for 12 and it's looking like 8 so far:

Wine+Art (1)
PurpleHaze (1)
Just A Skosh (1)
GreenDrazi (1)
TripDaddy (2)
G&PN (2) probable

Greeny,

Just got back in town.

A later start on a Friday might be wise.

Now we might want to chase down a wine bar in the Buckhead area as well before. Wink

There is a new “The Grape” wine bar in Phipps Plaza, which is about a mile north of where you are staying. If you find the wine list uninspiring, I’m sure watching the singles scene there and at the other well-heeled bars at Phipps, “The Tavern” and “Twist”, will keep skosh's eyes plenty busy. Big Grin

Check with the hotel - there may be a shuttle to Lenox Mall & Phipps Plaza.

There is also Wine Gallery + Market about 1.5 miles from you at 2625 Piedmont Road (south of Bones). A wine store and a small café with a much better choice of wines - if you can find a bottle to share.
