Such drama in my life. Big Grin
Looks like the 21st is looking brighter at this moment.

Preliminary Headcount for June 21st Sat:
Venue: TBD. Stay Tuned.

SD-Wineaux - 1
spo - 1
Whine-Oh - 1
jmch - 1
Caleb - 1 +1? (the lady?)

Well, if it's going to be a purely bachelor's event, then does Pure Platinum have a corkage policy? Wink

Actually, spo and I were discussing the venue and we wanted to suggest La Vache. $10 corkage. Lunch or dinner options. Go with lunch this time?

jmch75 wanted to organize this one, at one point it looked like he was not going to make it so I just wanted to make sure we had a plan. I may have jumped on that prematurely as it looks like jmch75 is on it again. I do think that La Vache is a viable option in the future though.

Pure Platinum, I am shocked, SD, I took you for the Deja Vu type.

Well, we can sure consider La Vache as an option. I've walked by the place a few times, and it looks nice.

So let me tally up the votes.

Pure Platinum - One Vote.
Deja Vu - One Vote.

Gee, this looks like a toss up. Guess we'll have to check out both places.

I think they'll be more discussion about venue this weekend. (more excuses to freely imbibe). Once we have more input, I'll book it for us all.

In order:

Wasn't trying to imply that Sean, et. al., were bowing out. Just having fun with the list.

And speaking of fun, Pure Platimum seemed to be the obvious choice since they serve food. Razz

And if we are leaving ourselves in John's hands for this, God help us all! Eek Red Face Cool

Sean is not on the list. I thought jmch maybe knew something I did not.

And of course Deja Vu serves food, I am not a savage. Razz

I'm new to the San Diego area and just getting involved with the wine community here. Is there a regular group that gets together down here somewhere? I'm in the Del Mar area...

JHM,
Yes, we get together about once a month. We have been picking up the pace lately. We have had get-togethers in peoples homes and a few restaurants etc. jmch75 is thinking of a place to go on the 21st. New people are welcome, there is no membership dues or fees, just bring a bottle of wine that you enjoy or something that you want to try with some other wine lovers.

Count me in for Sean Tremblay +1 for the 21st.

Who do you have to probe around here to get a chardonnay?

Okay

6 definite + 2 maybes = Reservation for 8

Let's do dinner, I can do either but an off-line without SD-Wineaux? Impossible.

I like that Gastro place Whine-oh suggested or La Vache or some mystery place that jmch75 is working on. What do you have for us jmch75?

SPO, thanks for the info...unfortunately I am out of town for a wedding this Sat., but would love to be included for future gatherings.

My direct email is jamesm@sitestar.net if you have a mail that goes out to the locals for 'events' you have. Love to get together sometime soon.

Hey Folks... Good times in the " Crest " this weekend.. I do believe it is Pride Weekend... w/the Parade and all on Sat.. A great night for wine tasting in the hood... I have invited a guest, but am still waiting response... Also Old Red who was at Wine Joe's in April, will be back from Africa (not wine tasting) today, so I am not sure if he is in or not.. Getting itchy to partake...

I hope it won't be a circus on Saturday night. Will parking be ok?

Whine-oh, I guess since Caleb cannot make it there are 2 seats available.

Old Red is out... My friend has not responded...yet... Maybe Caleb and Annie will still make it???? I am sure there will be parking, as they have it in the lot in front of the restaurant, but I am sure it will still be a circus outside... The Wine steals on University Ave. is pouring champagne for $10.00 all you can drink and watch the parade too.. lol... Eek
