Corks for Kids "The Event" - A two-day dinner and wine tasting extravaganza featuring nine Australian winemakers & owners designed to raise $50,000 for the North Carolina Children’s Hospital located in Chapel Hill. Dinners will be held at seven locations around the Triangle area of NC on Thursday, September 21st. All dinners will start at 6:30 p.m. The dinners range in price from $65 to $125 per person. The main event will be held at the Friday Center in Chapel Hill on Friday, September 22nd starting at 7 p.m. The tasting will feature 65 wines, 53 of Australian origin and the other 12 French. Of the 65 wines, 20 have a rating of 90 points or higher according to the Wine Advocate, International Wine Cellar, and Wine Spectator. There will be a silent and live auction of collectible wines and other goodies as well. Tickets for the September 22nd event are $50 per person. Wines featured at both days of the event will be available for purchase. All proceeds from the event and sales of the wines will go to the NC Children’s Hospital.
