I'm going to be in the Ann Arbor area for a day and a half next week, and was wondering if any of the Detroit area group would be interested in getting together on Tuesday night. I will be mobile. Let me know.
I would be interested in getting together on Tuesday night. I live near Napacat but could drive pretty much anywhere. I offlined with Napa in windsor last month, so consider myself fairly canadian!
Napa - what is this tasting on Saturday? Is it private or an open thing?
thanks, Dale

My brother is also with us so you have fair warning that there would be two lawyers which in the States requires advance notice and a permit where the lawyers will consitute more than 10% of any social group.

The Saturday event, featuring wines of 1990, bubbly, and dessert wines is the MoCOOL offline. Usually about a hundred or so attendees with some pretty good stuff from their cellars, really good food. My understanding is the picnic is open to all who sign up in advance, share the cost of the picnic ($45)and bring a theme bottle. Google MoCOOL for more info, or check out http://www.wineloverspage.com/forum/village/viewtopic.php?t=2965

Napacat, Dale, I'm open to suggestions. Rochester Hills is about 30 miles from Ann Arbor? How would that drive be in the morning if I was to get a hotel up there instead of AA?
If you need to be in Ann Arbor in the morning, Rochester is not the place to stay. Not the easiest of commutes, don't you agree Napa? If you are a trooper, that is fine, but I would think that we could find something a little more central for you.

<bump> Napacat, Dale, WineO? I could certainly make my way to Livonia for dinner if that suits you guys. I'm sure I have some Italian wine in my cellar. Assuming they allow BYOW.

I"m not in Michigan much anymore. I'm down here in Texas melting.
Just throwing out some suggestions. Make BEZ get off of his a$$ and do something.
