With 7 offliners confirmed and possibly 10, Nibblers may be more pricey than the group was looking for as there is a $300 food only minimum. Add in tax, corkage and tip and for 7 people and you're looking at about $65/person. We could just show up and order what we like, then again we could do that anywhere.
If there is going to be <10 of us we may want to re-think the location before I confirm tomorrow night.
Thoughts? Anyone else possibly know more about their situation (winetarelli, keytohwy)?

Last week I had dinner at Burger Road. I know burgers were initially discussed. There are locations in Pleasant Hill and Concord (though the Concord location is out by the Concord Pavilion). Burgers were solid, prices were good, and they had a ton of burgers to choose from. They do serve wine, and seemed to have plenty of room on a Wednesday night (the night I was there). So maybe they are a possibility. They wouldn't really care if it was 5 or 20, it seems.
Thoughts?

keytohwy, while burger road sounds good, I think we can find something just as good, but a bit closer to bart for those who are coming that way.
The Counter is a burger joint that was mentioned earlier and is about 1/4 mile from BART. The only problem with them is they don't take reservations, but with a small group I don't see that as being an issue. With corkage being $10/bottle, I think this would be our best bet for a low-priced, easily accessible gathering.
Pyramid and Chili's are a bit further at a little more than 1/2 mile. But if the group decides that reservations may be necessary and wouldn't mind the extra distance we can go here too.
With the group being on the smaller side, I don't think we'll have a problem going anywhere on a Weds night.

Sorry I haven't been responding but my friend seems to have gone AWOL in the past week and I cannot get a hold of him. Assume I'm in for 1. Cabs from anywhere at The Counter sounds great to me... so do the other options...

We'll be meeting at The Counter in Walnut Creek next Wednesday March 26.
The theme will be Cab/Cab blends from anywhere, unless you guys want to do a grab bag since the original idea was Syrah and I know others have expressed the desire for different wines.
How does 7pm sound?
