I am interested either way but my preference would be restaurant. Is Friday night (the 18th) the established date?

Friday is the 19th. Should we say Centre Street Cafe again? It seemed like a good place last time.

Kyle,
Is this online looking like it is going to come together? I think we would need to reach out to Felicia at Centre Street Cafe very soon if we want to ensure a spot. She may not be as open about a Friday night as she was about that Monday night event we did there, but it is worth a try. Count me in if we can swing this.

I keep posting stuff on here, but nobody is really responding. Can you give her a shout, and see if it's even okay if we come on Friday??? Thanks.

I am speaking with her again in about a half hour. How many people should I say we are likely to be? 6 to 8?

Felicia at Centre Street Cafe in Jamaica Plain is happy to have our group in on Friday night! That is the good news. The not so good news is that I need to give her a fairly accurate head count by Friday early evening so she can hold the right number of tables for us (striclty speaking, they do not take reservations). Everyone also has to commit to being on time as they generally do not seat incomplete parties (I was the late one last time!!).
Shall we say 7 pm on Friday to give folks plenty of time? Or would an earlier start be preferable, say 6:30?
So who is coming???

Michael

Also, last time we met there, there was no real theme, but a general Rhone bias emerged. Anybody feel free to step up with any commitments to what they would like to bring. I generally think we can keep it eclectic.

Surely you mean the Olmaia or the Brunello!

Do we think there are likely to be others interested? We need a few more to make it worthwhile for the restaurant, I imagine.

When I said Col D'Orcia, I meant Rocca della Macie...sorry about that.

Hi All,

New to the WS forums - do you guys/gals know of any BYOB restos in the Boston area? I was dismayed to find that all of those listed in the recent AE issue actually did not do corkage...

How often do you guys get together - and how many bottles do you normally bring to events?

Peter

Space Wrangler, I was part of the the group that did the dinner at Centre Street, we had a great time and I personally would like to get the group together again. E me @ jstahl@oldinn.com and I will get something together in the near future. Summer is over and it is time to have some fun. Also I am working on a Martinelli Dinner here at the Old Inn On The Green in The Berkshires. I can let you know if this becomes a reality.
Cheers,
James
