I have happily volunteered to arrange a shuttle to Otis' house from downtown. Before I figure out exactly what that means I need to know roughly how many people are interested. I won't book anything until I get group approval.
The greatest downside to the shuttle is that we all have to arrive and leave at the same time. That means that there will be some who want to stay later (after Otis has played the song "Out of Time", the official get-the-hell-out song), and some who want to leave earlier (can't imagine who except maybe.....?). The big advantage is that there is no worry about transit, there is probably a cost savings (Otis lives a pretty good distance from the city, very expensive by taxi), and that the party can start and end on the bus. The last time we did this it was certainly a good time.
Please reply here with your interest. We'll probably do 1 or 2 stop-offs in the City, then go straight to Otis'. We'll start this shuttle at the official hotel, I know you guys have something at the Renaissance(?). Once I get a decent head count I'll start inquiring.
******* Not looking good for next year either.

You can count me in. I think it's safe for me to also speak on behalf of futronic and wine & art. I'm sure that others staying at the "CDP hotel" will chime in.
Grossie, I think we are up to 9 or 10 rooms booked at the CDP Hotel. I would figure at least a couple are bringing spouses. You can email me at jburman82 at hotmail.com if you need any hotel info for the bus company.

Bman! Mo-ho-vin' on up? I thought you were staying in the North Burbs?
Call me George Jefferson!
I negotiated an add-on with the Renaissance, using my Platinum Marriottrewards status, which made it suddenly affordable for the 4 of us - for 3 nights. I love how Marriotts can be so flexible, especially with those of us who are loyal to their brands. They're smart people.
If we arrive early or stay late, which we probably will (we want to check out the botanic gardens near chez Otis and do some shopping), then we'll probably still stay at the Lincolnshire Marriott, but we're in at the Renaissance for Thursday-Saturday nights.

count my wife and I in. Thanks for doing this Grossie.
