I spoke with the restaurant. The meal will be a prix fixe type set-up. We're getting an appetizer, shrimp salad, a spicy pasta dish and rack of lamb. The cost will be $60 per person.

Can we have another roll call?

I think we've only got four people now, Duojet. The carriedcas are unable to make it, and Dok is on-call. That leaves you, basecadet, Baird, and myself.

Still on for 7pm, correct?

7:00 p.m. is correct.

I've invited a friend (he's active on another board) who will be coming.

Aren't a couple of Mrs. attending?

Slan,

Give Mrs Slan my best on her 29th! Wink

Fut/Duojet/Basecadet,

I woke up this morning feeling like hell. I caught something from one of my kids and will fill my bloodstream with antibiotics tonight. I should be ok for tomorrow, but I will advise in the morning if I can't make it.

Hopefully you get better, Baird. The numbers seem to be dwindling by the day!

Regardless, it's a go from my perspective.

Here's the wine list so far:

2001 Chateau de Beaucastel Coudoulet de Beaucastel
2001 Cuvee du Vatican Chateauneuf-du-Pape
2001 Paul Jaboulet Mule Blanche

Duojet said he was going to bring a red as well, and Baird said he was going to bring something along the lines of a 1998 Vieux Telegraphe CdP.

If you think we need more wine, I could always look to pick something else up. Also, we could head to the tasting room at my cellar for a bottle after the fact as well.

I was going to bring a CNDP but it looks like we've got lots already. For variety's sake, I'll look for a Gigondas or a Vacqueyras that's suitable.
