TWC,

I will be in Toronto Friday May 20 and Saturday May 21, attending the Blue Jays game on the 21st. I know you are having a big event the weekend before, but I'd be glad to get together one of those two evenings with anyone who is up for it.

Thanks,

J3

I'm around that weekend, and I'm sure we could gather other members of the TWC as well.

Is the Saturday game in the afternoon? If so, surely we could at least one of the two nights for an offline, if not both.

J3,
I'm busy on call on the Friday night, but available on the Saturday for an offline.
Are you staying downtown?
Depending on the numbers, we can either do a
BYOW or dinner at someone's home. It's nice for us to reciprocate for the great welcome we had in the Windy City. Looking forward to it.

Great,

The Saturday game starts at 4:07pm, so after the game would be doable.

I am likely staying at the Marriott Eaton Centre, but I will have a car.

Looking forward to it.

Carried: we'll let you off the hook ... *this* time. Razz Big Grin

As Dok said, depending on group sizes, I'd be happy to host Saturday night, since it's a short cab ride from your hotel - about 15-20 minutes. I know that's a bit further for Dok and the other people north of the city, but we'll sort something out.

Friday we could do a downtown BYO as well if you like. Let me know when you think you'll get to the hotel and we can plan accordingly.

P.S. I promise to not be sick nor take Tylenol PM this time.

I think I'm free on either night, I'd love to come along. Is there a record set yet for the number of offlines in a week? Wink

futronic,

I will probably get in Friday mid-afternoon, so Friday evening downtown should be OK. But don't feel obligated to plan something for both days. I'm sure there's plenty to do on a Friday night in Toronto.

I believe that's the Victoria Day long weekend here, so I will likely be out of town. If I'm in town, though, I'd love to attend as I've been swamped at work lately and it would be great to unwind at an offline.

If it's only J3, fut, Baird, basecadet, and I;
we could do a small dinner here. Nothing fancy, but some excellent wines.
Baird, is the missus withus? More great poetry!
You gotta hate it!
PLMK and we can make the appropriate travel arrangements and plan a menu. Maybe even a pot luck? Fut, you can make your famous chocolate souffle and we can try the '99 Allegrini Recioto. Baird, you can light a fire in the oven. Basecadet: you're responsible for the java. J3, you're just to show up. Jeez, I feel like the seargant-major.

Just show up, huh? I can do that. Of course, I will just show up with wine. Thanks for making the arrangements.

Is there room for 1 more? I'd be very interested assuming I can get permission for a night out!

I realize there is limited space so if not this time hopefully I can make it out next month.

Which night, mwaters? We're going to be doing both Friday and Saturday offlines. Since Friday will be at a resto, there'll definitely be no problem. As for Saturday, you'll have to ask Dok, since it sounds like we'll be heading north of the city that night.

Thank Fut, should have been more specific. I'd be interested in Saturday night.

Dok let me know if this works. Please do not change any plans on my behalf if you're already maxd out, there's always another offline just around the corner!

DoktaP,

Leanne would be interested in attending if you still have the space. If not, she can just wait in the car until I am ready to leave. Razz

P.S. Notice how tough I am when my wife isn't around? Big Grin

mwaters-how can I say no to you.

Final Roll Call

Jcubed
Futronic
Baird and Mrs.
Basecadet
mwaters
Dok and Mrs. P

Pot Luck.
Futronic-dessert (you know what)
Baird and Mrs.- Appetizers
mwaters-salad
basecadet-java and biscotti/goodies
Dok-Main course and sides
Jcubed-sharp wit and good humour

That should do it. Any questions, just post or call me at home or via email.

You might want to post what wine you intend to bring, or just keep it a surprise and we can try blind tasting/guessing. Either way is good for me.

DokatP, done deal on the Java/Biscotti/Goodies. By goodies is a nice sampling of cheeses in order?

Fut, is there a restaurant picked for the Friday night?

If I'm to bring sharp wit and good humour, there likely will not be enough to go around.
