I will be in Columbus attending a portfolio tasting that a wine distributor is hosting and I was thinking some food and good wine is in order afterwords. I know the location of this years tasting is different than last year, but I am up for a gathering at that restaurant a few of us met at last year in the lobby of that nice small hotel. (The name escapes me right now).
I am open to ideas. If you want to chat offline I can be reached at justinhome@msn.com

Is this the Vanguard tasting again? I haven't heard anything about it yet but I can probably arrange to go - where is it being held? The place last year was The Worthington Inn.
It's a bit far out for me to commit but I can probably meet up for drinks that night.

This is the Vanguard tasting. I do not have directions yet to this years location. Thanks for refreshing my memory on the Worthington Inn. The restaurant in the Inn was nice with incredible wine prices. I am up for meeting their or somewhere else. As we get closer to 8/1 we can talk about particulars.
Anyone else interested?

I spoke with Drew Neiman of Vanguard a few weeks ago. This years event will be at the Franklin Park Conservatory, which they rented out in its entirety. I mentioned this to Andrew Hall last week and he said that he would try and attend. As for somewhere to go afterwards, the Worthington Inn still has a well priced list but many of the gems that were there last year are gone. I'd reccommend The Burgundy Room in the Short North area. I'm guessing a number of the winemakers from the event will show up there. The selection is broad and for the most part reasonably priced.

The Burgundy Room sounds good. Is it close to the Franklin Park Conservatory? Are you definetely attending the Vanguard tasting? If you want to chat via email I can be reached at justinhome@msn.com
