Alright guys and girls, sorry this took so long but I have been trying to get a great deal at a great hotel and not take on too much risk for myself. Here it is. We will be at the Marriott Rennaisance Chicago. Room rate is $109 a night, suites are $119. For some reason the suite isnt popping up as an option when you enter in our group code. I have an email in and hope to get that fixed first thing tomorrow. Our group code is winwina make sure you enter this in the group code box and not the corporate code box, it wont fit. Here is a dirct link to the reservation site with the code already entered for you.

http://www.marriott.com/hotels...26/09&toDate=8/30/09

It automatically shows you checking in on the 26th and out on the 30th, so change that if you arent. You can also call 800-468-3571 to make reservations. Ask for the Wine Spectator room block.

The person I have been dealing with at the hotel is Jenny Prechowski, 312-795-3313. She has been very helpful and nice. If you have any questions feel free to email me at jburman82 at hotmail.com or call Jenny. That is all I can think of right now. If I remember anything else I will post it. I will also check back to see if anyone posts questions here. Cant wait to see everybody there and thanks again to MR&MRS Otisabdul for the amazing hospitality.

Newsguy, you might have to call Jenny to do it. I dont think I added any rooms for sunday, or maybe just one. I did 10 each for friday and saturday, but not many for the shoulder nights. I was very conservative since this is my first time doing this and I didnt want to book to many rooms. I am sure Jenny will extend the rate an extra night. She has been very helpful so far.

Sorry about the sunday night thing guys. That's my bad. I didnt even give any thought to people staying longer, just people coming in earlier. I can learn a few lessons with this one and hopefully the next one will be a much smoother.

Keep buying too much wine otisabdul!!! Big Grin

Pardon my naivete, but what is this?

When the subject line read "CDP" and people are saying stuff like "...Jenny was fabulous. I am ready to PAR-Teeeeeee", I can't help but wonder what all the fuss is about.

It goes something like, "What happens in CDP, stays in CDP". Use your imagination. I hope Pinot Envy shows up.

It's actually the moniker of a former forumite, and I don't think she has that problem.

Quite a lovely person, as is Pinto!

FYI, just called Jenny on a whim to see if my Platinum Marriottrewards benefits might be stretched to cover parking and after she consulted someone we got 3 days parking included.

I love the free enterprise system..... Big Grin

Platinum rewards?!?!?!?!?! Damn, I am silver and can only get halfway to gold on a good year. I would guess you travel alot for business.

They do take good care of their rewards members though. I have never had a complaint that wasnt immediately fixed.

I do travel quite a bit, but in fact I never reached 75 nights, though I exceeded 50 by a bit last year. They said that with "rollover" nights, I'd reached the necessary number. I don't really think that I did, but I'm keeping that to myself.... Wink

Thanks for setting this up, BTW, we really appreciate it! Cool
