Just woke up from a "Rip Van Winkle-like" snooze from the wine forums. Is there indeed an event on the 29th, and if so, what time and what place, or is everything still up in the air?

How bout them Chargers?!

SD-Wineaux volunteered to have us on the 29th after his golf game, so likely an early start of 3pm-ish.

Yes on all counts - definitely the 29th, definitely 3pm, definitely at our place, and definitely bring a snack to share. Oh, and maybe bring some wine too, if you have some. Smile

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!

I will be there Saturday and will bring wine and a snack. I may bring my son too (don't worry, he is 22). I will know for sure about his schedule soon and will let you know. I sure am looking forward to this, thanks for letting me join in! Let me know if we need to bring our own glasses too.

I will drink no wine til it's in my glass!

We should be fine on glasses, but thanks for asking about that.

Great, I will be there sans glass. My son is not coming, so just one from Arkansas. See you Saturday afternoon and Jack will see you Saturday morning at the golf course.

sorry to not get back to you all sooner, but i've been tied up with the new job.

my plans have changed and i will be in town this coming weekend. am not sure, but i think i can probably make it down saturday afternoon, though mrs. newsguy will be working and i'd be coming solo. i'll send SD-Wineaux an e-mail.

i live in the silver lake area of LA, and am definitely open to getting together regularly with folks around here to pop a few bottles.

starting mid-january, i'll regularly be available on friday nights and saturdays.

looking forward to meeting you all, at this offline or the next.

Newsguy comes with an endorsement from the MD Cru, which we assume is a positive thing. We often missed him Razz

Keep the newsprint wet, we'll be out...

Thanks, Julie. 3pm is the perfect time. These things have drawn out for quite a long time (for the die-hards, at least) when we're not being run off of a table, so I would expect things to be hopping until 6 to 8pm. But you're welcome here until whatever time you want.

In other news, I received an e-mail from newsguy who unfortunately had other plans come up. So we'll see him next time.

Thanks for having us again SD.

Thanks everyone for bringing nice wines and food.

See you guys next month.

TN's are up, don't have the panache of Parker and was slightly ****faced so you won't find Pain Grille and Drawn Blood but feel free to add your impressions. Love discussing the wines.
