Yes, I am coming back. Hotel and flights have now been booked and we arrive on the 7th April, leaving on the 16th (I think).

Anybody around?

We're leaving for vacation in the middle of your visit but might be able to make an offline on April 8th. Is that good for anybody?

Just one more sip.

Uh oh - hang on. No, the 8th is when we arrive, so possible but probably tired.

Killer B - anyway you can grab one day and come out to Long Island this time, since you'll be in NY for a while. I would be very flexible to do almost any night if you did (except Saturday or Sunday). We could even do an early thing. I have 5 or 6 great places we could go to and a few with 0 corkage.

It's just real rough getting to NYC for me during the week.

Jump in the T-Bird mobile? I don't know if he actually drives a T-Bird. Smile

Hey, take a nap on the 8th. It's the only day we can make it that week.

Just one more sip.

Probably sleepy but willing to have low level catch-ups with people. Lady K will almost certainly not be up for anything on 8th.

I'll get back ASAP. Don't hold any dates yet.

Right, so we're here and now have sorted out what we're doing for the week. It's actually the third day without any rain - woo hoo. Didn't get one last time. Got here on Saturday and the possiblity of an off-line then was a no-no. I went for an afternoon kip at 4 and got up at 8... on Sunday.

Looks like Thursday is a good evening if anyone is still interested.

I don't mind wandering over to Long Island, now that I know where it is. "I took my wife to Long Island"... "Jamaica?"... "No, it was her idea, actually" boom boom!

Sorry to miss you too but Saturday would have been a case of me falling asleep after one glass. I'd had only four hours sleep before the flight, and can't sleep on Planes, combined with the jet-lag I was a goner.

Keep in mind that Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal are each a cheap one-hour flight from NYC, in case your offline there falls through.....

TBird - Lady K will not be joining us either, she is having a Girl's night out with a friend. I don't remember having your moby number.

I'm not overly bothered about the standard of food, I had a pizza the size of Tinmes Square last night and I thought it was fantastic. Still got some left, even after breakfast.

I've brought no wine with me so I will be popping out to the multitude on 2nd Avenue, trying to find something nice (Marquis Phillips Shiraz tonight was acceptable).

I can pretty much walk to the second of those and navigation isn't too difficult. I'm at the same hotel as before above the UN - Millennium Plaza.

Yes - no wives. I will let you get the still wine but I can always get hold of a bottle of fizz in a town like this and I can chill it. We'll sort the rest out when we get there.

Just sent you an e-mail with contact details.

Just popped out to get a fizz. Nearly bought a whole bottle of Veuve before realising that if it's only two people that will take some time. Got a half and a half of a New Zealand Ice Wine - should go well with pud.

Six other people will now, of
