Since it's a French Bistro, I was thinking Bordeaux or Rhone for a theme. Any preferences?

I guess my preference would be Rhone, but either or both would be fine by me.

Dang, I missed the start of the new thread (again).
Definitely in. Rhones would be good with me. While the main cellar is still in Seattle,
I have a some choices ('98 Chapoutier La Sizeranne, '98 Jaboulet La Chapelle, '99 Pegau Reservee). Northern or Southern Rhone both in play?

Looks like it's shaping up!

Juicy, bring your Beaucastel and we will have a mini vertical.

Tpb, Northern or Southern is fine by me.

1. The Theme is RHONE
2. We will have our own private room and dedicated waiter.
3. PLEASE BRING CASH FOR PAYMENT

Tanglenet, how are we for space?

I think there could be a couple of folks from over on winelibrary forum who might be interested in this.

From reviewing other's notes on Cellartracker: maybe 1-2 hours?

My memory is that Randy has some kind of fancy aerating funnel. Maybe we can talk him into bringing it?

We're fine. I think we can do up to 18. We are currently at 10.

It was a pleasure seeing the familiar faces and meeting you, your spouse and Juicy. I thought it was a great location as we could all have a intimate conversation with each other w/o yelling over a crowded and noisy room. I apologize for the increased cost. The original quote was for 12 people, and when we dropped a couple of bodies a minimum amount kicked in.

Tpb - contact me about your wines at Winecommune. I would be happy to pick them up for you.

Someone please post the wines consumed and some notes - I spilled water over mine Frown

Don't forget - East Bay Offline III in January!
Vintage Champagne.

tanglenet,
Got your phone message yesterday. I realized I don't have your email address. Drop me a line at tbougetz at gmail dot com.
I'm going to check to see if I have wine to pick up. I have a case of Rhone wines (how appropriate) on futures, so maybe some came in. Thanks for the offer. I will more than likely take you up on it.
