Well, it's that time of year again. And as usual, there's alot to discuss.

The date: Sat. Jan. 21st or Sun. Jan. 22nd
Venue: To be decided
Theme: Optional
Wines: 1 magnum/couple or 2 x 750mL/couple
Dress: Casual

So, our work is cut out for us. I would ask that people submit their preference for dates and choice of venue. I am completely open to suggestions. Splat, Tuscany, Toba, and Terra are just a few of the options. We're always looking for newer and better alternatives. Do people want to put a cap on the amount if it's a prix fixe?
If people would prefer to send me their personal suggestions via email, I can be reached at jester728 at rogers dot com.

I hear that Baird has been speaking to his friend Marty Scorscese about creating the video for the event. Betsy is going to sing the national anthem, and drthvader will be throwing out the first pitch(er). Denis will be providing translational services for the drunk and impaired, and Futronic will be signing copies of his new book, "The Dirty Spiral Note Pad".
As Paul Simon would say (or sing)-So, make a new plan, Slan. Hop on the GO, Joe. And set yourselves free!
At least I didn't allude to bridge over troubled mwaters (ouch).
I must be getting tired, and I hAAVe to get some sleep. Too much "red wine" tonight.
Well, I think I covered just about everyone. If I've left anyone out, I'll be sure to send out "manny" more emails. Heck, I almost forgot.
I'll be sending maps from oakville for y'al.

I'm in for 2. How about some lights actually being turned on this time for the filming? I'm an artist! I create great cinema! I can't work under those conditions! Big Grin Roll Eyes

P.S. Very punny jokes. You must have been working on those all week! Razz Big Grin

Mrs Carriedca...not sure yet. She won't be drinking anyways.

I'll leave it at that.

carriedca and I spent a full afternoon yesterday at the Ottawa Food and Wine show, during which I wrung the truth out of him (it wasn't too difficult....): mrs. carriedca is indeed expecting their first little carriedca early next summer. Cool Saw soon-to-be-mom yesterday as well and she is indeed radiant, if off the sauce for a while.

As for this offline, it's as unlikely as ever that I can make it with or without my mrs., but we may be in the area during the March Break if anyone was in town and up for a weeknight offline the week of March 13. I should know by January at the latest.

Dok - Put me down for 2.

Carriedca - Congratulations! It's a brave new world once the little ones arrive.

Bman - March 17 or 18 would work very well for me, as Mrs. Slan and the kids will still be in Florida but I'll be back home and a bachelor for a few more days.

Yay!!!! If she isn't drinking, maybe mrs. carriedca can watch my wine when I go to the washroom. Maybe it would keep her husband away from it for a change. Razz Wink Big Grin

Now where the hell do I find wine-related baby clothes/toys/accessories? Big Grin

As I recall there are baby related wine products. The first thing that comes to mind is Baby Duck. Isn't that where we all started?

yes, it's so.

Sorry for the hiatus. Had to get some things in order before I start to blow the wad on wine.
It's time to have some fun. Perhaps even give Futronic an electonic recorder so he can retire his dirty notebook Big Grin

Let's just say that I am back, strong like bull, smooth like silk. lol

I would be delighted to attend. Can't wait to see all of you again. I will have to be sure to bring something special to the event. (maybe a magnum of yellowtail?) Wink

I think that I will have company though. Is there a cap of how many people you can bring?

The new ms mav version xxx would like to join us

let me know when you get a chance

A
