I know it's early, but I am tentatively scheduled to be out in Chicago on Sun, Feb 5th for a business meeting in Libertyville the next day. I do not yet now if I will stay in Libertyville or near the airport (will know more later), but thought I would put this out there to see if anyone would be interested in getting together for an offline.

Would love to share a glass or three with you, matt. I'll mark it down in my calendar and see if I can secure a hall pass.

Maybe a wine-themed Super Bowl party is in order. I know Vino Me thinks the Bears will be in it, but my money is on your Seahawks. Razz

Cheers,

Otis

I'm up for it if my regular superbowl party falls through (it's up in the air right now). But if the party exists , I have to go.

Will keep this in mind, but right now I'm in same situation as Grossie.

Looks like VM won't need to worry about the Bears anymore.

So looks like I am confirmed to be out in Chicago on Sunday Feb 5th, however it appears my hotel is in Libertyville and I don't land until 5pm. Sounds like that is a good 45 min drive or so from the airport and even further from downtown - would any forumites be interested in something a bit closer to Libertyville? I have a feeling I will be a bit beat after the flight from Seattle and am hoping to keep dinner closer to my hotel if possible for sanity's sake. If it doesn't work for anyone, no worries. I have no idea what restaurants are even up in that general area.

I'm out, sorry. My superbowl party is happening, so I'll be there drinking beer.

hi matt,

Congrats on your Seahawks making the Bowl!

My wife has informed me that we are committed to a SB party at the neighbor's house. Sorry I'll miss you this time around. Hopefully, we'll get together the next time you're here!

As far as Libertyville is concerned, I highly recommend dining at The Tavern. The wine list is terrific and is obviously assembled by a person who is wired into the current set of trendy/hot wines. We had a delicious '02 Melville Carries Pinot Noir when we went there last month. Excellent steaks, too.

Have a great trip!

Cheers,

Otis
