Don't know if anyone's interested.... I received this today:

PREMIUM PINOT NOIRS, Part II (Grapes Grown North of the Golden Gate)
followed by
OPTIONAL WINE-PAIRING DINNER FEATURING A SPECIAL MAGNUM OF PINOT NOIR
FROM THE CELLAR OF OUR MEMBER STEVE DEMOULIN

5:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2005, San Francisco

In Part II of our two-part series we will explore the greatest flavors that Pinot Noir vineyards located north of the Golden Gate have to offer. We will taste 12 exceptional current releases that will appeal to the wine novice as well as the connoisseur:

Belle Glos Wines, Taylor Lane Vineyard, Sonoma Coast
Ceja Vineyards, Sonoma Carneros
Chateau Souverain, Russian River Valley
Chateau St. Jean, Durell Vineyard, Sonoma Valley
Elke, Donnelly Creek Vineyard, Anderson Valley (Gold)
Etude Wines, Carneros
Hanzell Vineyards, Sonoma Valley
J. Jacaman, Russian River Valley
Reynolds Family Winery, Carneros
Signorello, Las Amigas Vineyard, Carneros
Williams Selyem Winery, Allen Vineyard, Russian River Valley
ZD Wines, Reserve, 35th Anniversary, Carneros

The Vintners Club provides all the wines and all the stemware (a separate glass for each wine); participants are thus able to savor each wine and enjoy its evolution through the evening. You only need to bring an open mind, an inquisitive palate and some good cheer. Those who have not previously attended a Vintners Club event are encouraged to take a look at the web site: http://www.vintnersclub.com.
Price for the tasting: $60/member; $85/non-member.

TO SECURE A RESERVATION: Please mail your check (made payable to the Vintners Club) to: Lalita Waterman, Treasurer, VINTNERS CLUB, 36 Southridge West, Tiburon, CA 94920. We encourage you to telephone or e-mail the Vintners Club to advise that your check is in the mail so that any postal mishaps are detected. While this helps us to keep track of reservations, seats are assigned in the order in which checks are received. First-come, first-served. Reservations for this tasting and/or dinner are non-refundable after 12 noon on Thursday, May 19. Thereafter, should an unforeseen circumstance preclude attendance, you may call the Vintners Club by 2 p.m. on the day of the tasting and we will offer your seat on a scholarship basis to a student. The price of your reservation will be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law and we will send you a letter acknowledging the donation.

VENUE: As always, we will convene at the World Trade Club, One Ferry Plaza, San Francisco (located directly east of the Ferry Building towards the rear of the parking lot). This glorious waterfront setting overlooks the Bay Bridge, Alcatraz and Treasure Island. It is a convenient location for ferry, BART, Cal-Train and bus transportation.

PARKING: For those who prefer to drive, excellent valet parking is available for $10.

ATTIRE: Business Casual, per the request of the World Trade Club. Attendees are requested to refrain from the use of colognes and perfumes so that the aromas of the wines can be appreciated by all tasters.

agree the price is very high. I hear they do a very classy job, though.

Has anyone attended one of these lately?
