It was a great way to celebrate the first snow of the season. As usual wonderful company, fantastic food, and great wines. It was nice to see friends I had not seen in a while, and to meet new ones.

Lee was concerned that the tenderloin was a bit dry, but I thought it was great, especially with the juices on top. The fois gras was decadent, and the scallops were huge, sweet, and melted in your mouth. I especially want to thank whoever made the potatos, they took me back to my childhood as my mother used to make some very much like it that was one of my favorite foods. Needless to say, I did not stick to my diet Saturday night. I think having the cheese to nibble on in the beginning was the first indication that I was in trouble. They were all fantastic (and I did make sure to try them all.) Oh well, I guess I will have to fast for a couple of days.(Yeah right.)

My WOTN was a difficult choice. I think I will have to give a slight edge to the Bouchard L'Enfant Jesus, but to be honest, it was difficult to keep them straight, especially once they had been decanted.

The sweater isn't mine, I managed to make it home with everything, although that late at night it was tough.

I would think it would be relatively easy to distinguish between a Dinwiddie sweater and a Cometspider sweater. Big Grin
I recommend in the future that photos be taken at the beginning of these events, with everyone fully clothed, so that matching the discarded garments to the naked people can be accomplished with ease the next day.

Sorry it has taken me so long to post, but I too would like to thank Klymkev for hosting - and also letting me know a spot opened up at the last minute. I had missed the last couple of these things and it was great getting back together with everyone (and meeting some new faces).

As for the wine - I have to side with Cometspider about the DS JH and the Le Cadeau. However, I did also like the Dancer Pommard as well. And no it isn't just becuase he was kind enough to give me a ride home either (which I greatly appreciated, thank you).

As for the food - those potatoes always steal the show!!!
