We'll be holding a statewide offline in Fredericksburg, TX open to all Texans and out of state visitors. Come one, come all! LilacWine is our local host for this event. Here are the details:

  • Date: Saturday, April 22nd
  • Time: Approximately 6PM TBD
  • Place: Lawn next to Belle Notte Bed & Breakfast in Fredericksburg, TX Link to Belle Notte Website
  • Food Theme: Texas BBQ
  • Wine Theme: BBQ Wines

Food will either be catered or we'll buy it and pick it up ourselves and split the cost evenly. Everybody present must bring at least one wine to share with the group but you're highly encouraged to bring extras! BBQ wines rule the day so bring what you want such as California Cabernet Sauvignon or Zinfandel. Openers and closers are not only desired they are encouraged!

Let me know if you're in and the number in your party. You're encouraged to book your B&B or hotel soon as Fredericksburg is filling up fast that weekend and it'll get a lot fuller really quick since wildflowers stand a chance of being in bloom that weekend.

So far:

3 - PURPLE
4 - seanr7
5,6 - wino4ever

I was in Texas a few weeks ago, just long enough to drive from Houston to Galveston, get on a ship, and then drive from Galveston to Houston and get on a plane.

Just one more sip.

Not my first rodeo, just my first Texas rodeo! I haven't been to Texas since 1972, when I was 9!

I just hope they don't go all "brokeback" on me! Eek

Let me know when you can. It's more important to make a reservation first than letting me know FWIW. It is very booked down there this time of year.

Very true. And the highly-coveted "places within stumblin' distance" are few in number.
