19/20th sounds fun...should we try a theme this time?

Can't do it the 26th, all other dates are fine.

Who do you have to probe around here to get a chardonnay?

Thanks for the welcome back.

What did you have in mind for a theme? A region or grape? Make a suggestion and let's see how the group responds.

Maybe Southern Hemisphere? Oz, Chile, Argentina and S. Africa?

It is a good theme as it does give freedom to pick red or white, and a few different regions. I will give it my endorsement. Do the rest of you like that idea?

19th is the only bad date for me.

Southern hemisphere could be an interesting experiment, although it's a little limiting for my cellar (Chile, New Zealand and Australia). Maybe a '02 Don Melchor and a '04 Two Hands Bella's or Lily's?

Not sure that Sean T will be a big fan of this concept, since it will surely be red heavy.

We can do the south, I'll just probably not bring one from there.

13th might work for me, I get back to SD that day at 3:30. 26th would be OK too, I fly back to AR on the 27th. But, you all pick a date and I will just see if I can make it.

The headcount is 11 and no one had said add or subtract so I am assuming this is it.

I am going to go with the theme. I am thinking South African since I have not had any wine from there yet.

I rarely do wines from the South. I am thinking I will bring something from South Africa.

Yes, I think I can make Sunday as long as the flight is on time. I will just have hubby bring me directly to wherever you are.

And yes, Whine-OH, I would still love to do the U. Club on the 16th.

Here another choice for a venue. Always good food in Ab-Normal Hts...
Adams Ave. Grill and their corkage is a measly 8 bones.. They said they could handle our rowdy crowd of 10-15 too... Smile

Seems to me that Adams Ave. Grill offers some better menu matches for Southern Hemisphere wines than the French-themed Blue Bohe'me. Maybe keep Blue in our hip pocket for a future event. I sure would like to eat there some time.

Anybody that has $8 corkage gets my vote. Also, I'm picking my parents up from the airport on Saturday. Don't know what time yet, but they probably won't come if it's on Saturday. Sunday we could all be there.

So, do we want to commit to this Sunday, the 13th, at Adams Ave. Grill starting at 5pm (the Chargers game should be over by then)?
