Very short notice I know, but I will be in the area visiting a client on Wednesday morning. That means I need to come down the night before. Any of the locals interested/available to get together for some wine and/or dinner on Tuesday night? I will be mobile.

I'd love to, but I'll be working that night. If for some reason you are still here wednesday night, let me know.

My client is in Coral Gables, but I'm flying into Fort Lauderdale. I haven't reserved my hotel yet, pending any responses to this thread.

I am game - I can check with a couple of others of the S. Florida crew but with short notice during the week - not sure anyone else will be able to join.

FYI Steve, if you fancy a beach location, we just spent a very nice 4 days at the Marriott Hollywood Beach. It's right on the beach (and 15 minutes from the airport), the prices of the food in the restaurant (also right on the beach) is surprisingly reasonable for a top of the line Marriott, and it's just down the street from a wonderful Greek restaurant called Bistro Opa or something like that where we absolutley pigged on perfect seafood for a relative pittance. Also very near Jc and MLV.

Steve and JC, I would have loved to join you to share some wine and have a chance to meet other. However, coincidentally, I too have to go to Coral Gables very early on Wednesday morning and a drive down to S. Broward or N. Dade the night before would be too much, especially after I just spent the entire evening at a car dealership leasing a new car. Steve, you mentioned a morning meeting, so I would stay near or in the Gables and drive to whatever restaurant at night. You do not want to make the drive south from Golden Glades to 836 in morning rush hour. It can kill 45 mintutes to go 7 miles. I do it once a week now and don't wish that on anyone.

I thought the food was pretty good for the most part - I am not rushing back but am happy it exists as it is near our house and any promising spot nearby is a good thing. We will return and hope it continues improving.
