Nancy, I haven't seen the list, but you might want to consider hitting one or two areas instead of hitting everything under the sun. For instance, try and hit all the Bordeauxs (red, white, and sauternes) or Burgundy or Rhone. Sam's has this tasting every year, so they'll be something else to focus on next year.
My game plan this year is to first hit the big names on the list and then go back and do Rhones. Additionally, for those interested Sam's will also have a Rhone seminar in mid-February.
Wednesday, February 18th 6:30pm to 8pm Wine Seminar THE RHONE - $25 When a region combines wines of value, lasting power and hedonistic pleasure, it is no wonder critics and buyers have discovered and elevated its reputation. Incredibly, values still abound! We will discuss individual producers as well as some of the excellent cooperatives.
