Howdy my fellow Texans!

PURPLE and myself have decided to take a last minute drive down to Fredericksburg for the weekend of May 15th to visit with LilacWine. We'll probably gather at a local restaurant on Saturday night, our B&B, Lilac's house, the Lincoln Street Wine Bar, whatever and whereever there happens to be wine! Lilac and myself thought we would post a thread on the off chance any other Texans, especially the Austinites, might like to make the drive over for the weekend. Please post here if you are interested and we'll start working out the details.

I saw your note and wanted to throw out a suggestion. If you're going to Fredericksburg you may want to hop about 8 miles west on Hwy 290 to visit Chisolm Trail winery. I know a lot of Texas wineries are still working their way toward consistency but I've really enjoyed their wines. I think they represent what the Hill Country wineries can become with a little more time and experience. Just a thought...

Dude, I think I've been to or tasted every Texas winery out there. I have a better idea. Why don't you drive over and meet us and we'll pop a few bottles I'm planning on hauling down with me?

I'm an Austinite and would love to, but unfortunatly, our schedule is filled to the max this weekend as well. I hope you have a great visit. Let us know when you might set up another event!
