Mrs. K and I are celebrating our 20th in wine country 6/16 through 6/24. We'll be staying in Headlsburg but traveling throughout the area and would be interested in an off-liner if possible. Shoot me an email to bfrye@peachstate.com to discuss. Hope to see you there!

Let us know exactly which nights you can be over in Napa / St Helena / Yountville and we'll go from there. With the TCF's, you'll probably want to book a room on this side of wine country...

It's too bad you're leaving the 24th, the "Taste of Howell Mtn" event is on the 25th at Krug in St Helena.

Looking forward to meeting you,
Tastebuddy

Well, I don't have a date for the June TCF dinner yet, why don't we just nail it down as the 16th? How's that sound?

Pyang,

Will Press be open next month? If so, it might be nice to check them out. I know Kate really well and I'm pretty sure she's running the show.

Press is suppose to open mid-may, right about now...can you check into it?

By the way, going to Rutherford Grill tonight at 7:00pm, want to come?

I'll look into this. Probably best to give it a month or so to figure itself out.

As far as the Grill goes, steak and enchilada sound pretty good. I'll check with the boss. I'm goijng to need a diet soon if I keep this up. Smile

What time? Is the other Michelle going to make it? Can we make room for a 3rd guest on my part?

Thanks for the interest!

As I've explained to pyang, we arrive at SFO around 12:45P on the 16th, and by the time we get the car, get to Healdsburg and get settled it'll probably be 5:30 - 6:00P. Wouldn't mind making a trip over to Napa that evening for a gathering - what's the trip time from H'burg to St. Helena?

Also, I'm looking for reco's for our 20th anniversary dinner in SF...any suggestions would be extremely helpful.

Thanks as always.

kybo and everyone else interested...

How about this, dinner on the 16th in Calistoga, makes a shorter trip (less than 45 minutes) for kybo and about the same distance for most of us locally. St. Helena would be fine as well, which is a bit under 60 minutes from Healdsburg.

I'll get a new thread started...

Let's do Busters! Bring your own wine and bib! I'll do the drive but I'm pretty uninspired with the selection up in Calistoga.

Kybo; why don't you spend your first night in Napa, that way you're not globetrotting so much? There are many reasonable B&B's or motels in Calistoga that would serve you well. Or the El Bonita in St Helena. That way you can fully enjoy your offline with the Troublemakers of Napa Valley.

If we're going to do Calistoga....hmm.... are we going to do Calistoga? I guess I side with Bench.

I'd love to do Domaine Chandon sometime soon & I don't mind giving Press a shot. As expensive as I hear they are, they better get it right as soon as the doors open.

That's a Thursday - does anyone do "locals night" <no corkage> on Thursdays?

If you really want to split the drive, Triple S Ranch has some mean steaks. They're a little cheesy and we should bring our own stemware but like I said before, some MEAN steaks.

Can't we get together in a nicer environment? Smile
Please, such horrid tablecloth maybe just fine for the local wine, but I doubt my Burgundy will be pleased with the disasterous color scheme of that place.

Tastebuddy;
Point taken, but the deals' been done. We're stay at the Honor Mansion in Headlsburg mostly because we'd stayed in Napa back in '00 and didn't really spend any time in Sonoma then. We're game to just about any location, we'll just need to be careful w/consumption w/regard to the trek back of the mountains.

Kybo,
You'll have to come by and see me for a tasting.
Let me know if I can help with any suggestions in Healdsburg area.
My first wine was released last week; maybe we can taste you on it during your visit. Hope Alpharetta is treating you well.
