I know this idea has been thrown around before...what if I bring a decent Evesham Wood, and another bottle of white to get us "warmed up"??
I just want to avoid the tarring and feathering. (plus, I'm a cab guy...don't know much about these fancy-pants pinot noirs.)

You bring it, we'll drink it.

I don't have any experience with this particular Pinot Noir. That is part of the fun of these offlines. Having the opportunity to try something you've never tried before. Bring whatever you are comfortable with and we'll a good time. We're just glad you can attend.

I will also bring a white "palate primer" so we will have enough to go around.

TMG,

Good and off the wall Big Grin I would not start with anything that has any or much oak as we are tasting Pinot. Just my opinion...

Texaswineguy....

Aubert. Kongsgaard. Shafer Red Shoulder. Nothing fancy. Razz

This will be fun. I'm looking forward to seeing & meeting everyone.

I mentioned this on VC though....math isn't looking tooooo good. 15-16 attendees +/- and 12 bottles. Of course, there is Chateau Wine Market directly below Il Sole if we start running low. Big Grin

TWG, anything you think might be interesting and ready to drink works. Throw us a few bones and we'll pick through them for you. I have no trouble giving my opinion! Big Grin

Hey now, I have never tasted "Undeclared". Did RP rate them? Wink

Anyway, you can't blame a guy for trying to raise the "guilt index" and get more bottles on hand.

Quick question: Is the restaurant going to supply glassware for all of this, or should be bring our own?

You can also put me down for a white to sip while waiting for the group to assemble. Do ya'll prefer a Kongsgaard Chard of a Premier Cru White Burgundy?

They have passable stemware but I would bring your own if your picky about your stemware like I am.

Yes to both! Seriously, I love Kongsgaard and I'd love to sample a Premier Cru White as well since we're starting to stock some at the house. You can't miss either way and Thanks for bringing either one!
