Folks, interested in getting some people together towards the upper the East side.

The thought was 1999 Cote De Nuits, Premier Cru
Want to cap it at around 10 people or so

Place Cafe Joul, 1070 1st Ave between 58th and 59th

What time are you guys thinking, I might be interested if I dont have a massive hangover from my trip out to san jose.

also i know absolutely NOTHING about Cote de Nuits.

ah i can't make it. I get outta work nowadays at 6:30-7. Would be well into 7:30-8 by the time I get up there.

g-man, you might seek the wines of Morey-Saint-Denis.

While is does not have the reputation of Gevrey Chambertin to the north, or Chambolle Musigny to the south, it does offers solid wines for better pricing if you are wanting to learn Burgundy.

Any recommended vintages look for?

And would you be able to give tasting profiles one should look out for based on the particular price?

I have had good luck with 1999, 2002, and 2003. Avoid 1998. I haven't tasted any 2004s. However, the thread specifically states 1999 for the tasting. Wish I were on the list, NYC and 1999 Red Burgs, sounds like a good time. Smile
