I'll bring a Windy Oaks Pinot Noir, and either a Sea Smoke Pinot or a Lewis Syrah. Plus I should have barrel samples of our 06 Syrah and 06 Haut Tubee.

I posted this on my blog- thanks for getting the info out!

If a white flight doesn't get anyone excited, I could kick in a 2005 Kistler Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir or a 2005 Beaux Frères Beaux Frères Vineyard Pinot Noir to go with Paul's Pinot.

Depending on what the others say, I was going to bring a white to join in your flight. If everyone would rather focus on red, though, I can just bring two reds.

Quickly, bring me a beaker of wine, so that I may wet my mind and say something clever. - Aristophanes

With all of these suggestions that you guys are throwing out about what wines you are going to be bringing - makes me almost want to reconsider the whole "too quick to join in" idea after my move next week. Hopefully, I can hook up with you guys the next time around.

I'll be bringing something similar that is inspired by that wine. It is called "Disgruntled Buzzard" or something like that.

Stick in the 2005 Kistler McCrea Vineyard Sonoma Mountain Chardonnay for me.

Sarbuze - Is that Dutton Ranch a Kistler bottle?

It's actually a Dutton Estate Chardonnay.

Also, I may have to go with something other than the '90 Mondavi as I bought it online and it hasn't shipped yet. If it's not in by next week, I'll just dip into my cellar which isn't deep in California wines, but has some nice alternatives.

As much as I was looking forward to tasting the Mondavi, if it doesn't arrive in the next day or so, I'd pull something else, Sarbuze. Particularly with an older bottle, I'd recommend giving it a few weeks to recover from travel.

Great suggestion, PH. I didn't consider the effects of travel on an older bottle of wine.

In that case, it will either be a 2001 Silver Oak Napa Valley (maybe too young still?), a 2003 Bravante Simpatico (which I had recently and was incredible), or something I find on the shelves of the local shops this weekend!

Register one vote for the Bravante. Wink I've never had it, but your CT note on it sounds good.

Justin - We're currently at 12, and I don't think anyone in the group is terribly superstitious. Wink You're welcome to be #13, however if you were to bring an S.O. it would take care of those of us who are! Eek
Several of the gang will be coming with spouses/S.O.s although many of our significant others may well have better palates than those of us who post here! Big Grin

We'd love to have you join us in any event. I'd like to confirm with the resto prior to Sunday if at all possible, so post to confirm when you can.

This one is shaping up to be a pretty big event! I'm looking forward to seeing SW again and meeting his better half, as well as meeting Justin and JFoobar.

Haven't figured out what I'm going to bring yet, but will post something tonight or tomorrow.

Bad news, Kim's going to miss this Sunday's festivities due to being under the weather (I tried to convince her that no alcohol with antibiotics doesn't mean wine, but she wouldn't bite).

I'm still in, of course. Put me down for:

2003 Bravante Simpatico

Look forward to seeing everyone and meeting the newcomers!
