Me too. I am uncomfortable asking my representatives to support legislation I haven't seen. I asked Scott Ehlers, the guy who runs the site for details. Since the legislation hasn't been introduced yet, all he's seen is a draft. A summary of major points can be found here.

So then, the 24th it is!

PH (1-2)
sarbuze (2)
Gentleman farmer (1-2)?
klymkev (1-2)?

irwin (1-2)?
Stefania Wine (2)

Chime in to confirm when you can. Also your vote on theme! I'm voting Cali, only because we had French wine in January.

Assuming "Cali" means any wine from California...here's another vote for Cali.

And we're confirmed for the 24th.

Festiva, please allow me to help you dealing with PH. Wink

PH, Burgundy is a wine region in France, on the other side of the Atlantic. It without question produces the worlds finest Chardonnay, both oaked and non-oaked. It is also the finest producer of Pinot Noir in the world, with Oregon a distant second.

Granted, the wines of Burgundy require a palate of great depth and discernment, but you should still give them a shot regardless.

Patience will also reward with these wines.

There Festiva, I hope I helped. Razz

Quite funny, W+A!!! Over the past few years, our MD group has been trying to teach PH a thing or two about wine. As you can tell, it's been a long, hard road! Big Grin

My wife and I might be game if the location is not a long trip from the inner harbor area...Id like to make one of these offline deals before we pack up her digs and relocate permanently to Kansas City....
Until I talk to her and find out the location we're a definite mabey...got loads of Cali...

Dependent on a couple of other factors, I would probably be very interested in attending if you folks don't mind a new face.

No venue set, yet TXAGS. Folks, we really should talk about a place. This is going to be a pretty large group so we'll need some space. I don't want to overdo it at Cafe de Paris, but they have good food and a great room for us. Thoughts?
