Three Saturdays are pretty much out for me - the 9th, 16th, and the 23rd. Other than those days most of February is open!

Sundays are a possibility if anyone is considering it.

Theme(s) anyone?

Other than being out of town the weekend of the 8th, I think I'm pretty wide open. Saturdays or Sundays work.

We haven't done Cali lately, have we? Maybe Barolo/Barbaresco?

OK, I'll finish this layup.

Do I hear any votes for Pinot/Burgundy? Wink PH

This month will be rough for us. The only dates that work for us are 17-20, as I will be on a Habu world tour the rest of the dates. I will be in Georgia at the end of the month - should I get any Tbilisi champagne for anyone?

We are out of town the weekend of 15-17. Our best dates are 8, 23, and 24. We could also do any Sunday other than the 17th in a pinch.

GF's call for Cali. sounds good to me. Mrs. CS would most pleased.

P.S. Leap year (Feb 29) is open too. As long as we don't have a "Leap" theme: that list is too short and overpriced. Wink

Habu, you can skip the Georgian Sparklers for me, but I would appreciate it if you could bring back a small bottle of Balsam Pine Tar Liquor. Don't know if you can find it in Georgia, but it's available throughout the Ukraine & Eastern Europe. It tastes like burnt *hit, but it sure does put hair on your chest! Smile

As far as a theme goes, I vote for KlymKev's idea of Red Burgs. If it must be Cali, so be it... We'll just have to suffer through the taunts and jeers from the Texas folks!

Not sure how many people saw this notice - An attempt at introducing a revised Maryland Wine shipping law is working it's way through Annapolis. Here is a link that has more information:

So far, it appears that Sunday the 24th is a day that everyone who chimed in with potential conflicts can make. Shall we call it?

We appear split between Pinot and Cali for a theme. I'm thinking that as a group we're probably deeper in "ready to drink" California wines than Burgundy, n'est ce pas? I certainly am, and it's only a tiny piece of my cellar. It might be fun to do "left coast" no Cab or Chard and see what we can come up with. Thoughts?

I'm with PH - it deserves it's own thread - thanks for pointing it out! (I posted it on my blog giving you credit as the source, of course!)

Regarding theme: We're happy as long as it involves wine and the great people from the last two off-lines we've attended!

As long as we don't start too early, I'm pretty flexible.

sunday the 24th might well work for me/us, and I too would prefer Cali. There is a possibility that we'll be out of town---I'll know more later.

Check out PH using French to re-direct the theme back to California. He must be a lawyer in his spare time! Wink

I'd like to see the legislation, but this website makes me nervous: "This legislation will allow Marylanders to receive fine wines direct-mailed from Maryland wineries, out-of-state wineries, and retailers like wine.com.

I took a long look at that as well...but in the end, am just happy to see that this bill is being brought to the floor.

On that note, if it's passed into law, I'll be sure to do my part to make sure friends and other wine consumers are well aware of how bad wine.com is!
