A local, wine friendly, dining establishment has expressed a willingness to be the site of an offline sometime toward the end of January next year. I was thinking that around the 24th would be a good time to have the first SoCal event of the new year.

Cafe Plaka features Greek, Italian, American dishes. Chef Philip cooks up some great dishes, including some pork chops that are off the scale! Appetizers are mainly Greek, but I am sure that he will be doing some special dishes for us.

If you are interested please let me know fairly soon. Smile

I would like to take the plunge...logistics might be a problem though. I'll see if I can crash at a buddy's house up in LaLa land. How far is the restaurant from San Diego?

Fountain Valley is exactly 90 miles from the docks at Pt. Loma. I make that drive many times a year!

No website yet. Frown Cafe Plaka is in Fountain Valley, which is right next to Huntington Beach off the 405.

Count me in for 1 Possibly 2.

I'll need to book a room.

NE14ZIN

I wish I could join you, but I'll be freezing my butt in Grand Rapids by then.

I have an etched bottle with your name on it, so hopefully we can get together in the next few weeks, while I'm in SoCal.

Please put us down for 2 possibly. I will know in a week if we can make it. Do we have any wine theme yet or is it a wide open offline?
