Leave it to Mimik to make sure we turn another page.

Two tables of eight sounds fine to me. Now you can draw straws to see who gets stuck with us. Big Grin

Has the date been set - Friday or Saturday?

Based on the wines Baird is bringing, he might vote for 16 tables of one! Wink

Obviously this offline is being organized by an amateur. Wink Big Grin I never let my guests lurk in uncertainty when I plan offlines.

My guess is that it will be on a Saturday but I believe it depends on the restaurant as well.

Geez, you guys are getting antzy, with the date drawing near. Roll Eyes

My vote, surely, would be on Saturday. HOWEVER, as you (locals) know, YoYo's has two seatings per evening (6pm & 9pm). The WILL consider waiving the planned table arrangement some times. That depends, though, on the impact it will have on their evening. Saturday is a big evening and tough to get them to make that much accomodation. I'm working on it, though. I'm suggesting maybe a menu, charge a 'little' extra and we'll pay cash. We'll see if that's enough to work it. I'm guessing this might be a bit more do-able for a Friday at 7:30pm - 12pm seating. I'll be getting this worked out soon and will advise.... Wink

Surely having 16 of us show up for dinner won't hurt their evening. But Friday is okay with us as well. We are coming in from Texas and will be arriving on the 19th and leaving on the 27th so any night from the 20th - 26th works for us.

Or you could have it before we arrive or after we leave so you won't have to put up with any Texans at the table. Big Grin

Don't forget to bring 'a little extra', mareff. You know, the U.S. $ just doesn't stretch quite as far as it used to. Wink

Can we firm up a date for this please? That weekend has suddenly become busy and I can't keep both nights open indefinitely. Pick one.

We'll sort this out by the end of the weekend. It's being worked on.

Whatever happened to "panties in a wad?" But then again, I don't know Steve8 well enough to know if "panties" applies. I will defer to those of you who know him to apply the right phrase. Big Grin

Are all of the out-of-towners OK with a Friday night off-line? If they're traveling that day it might not be the best. My apologies if this has already been addressed. I'm not wading back through 9 pages of posts to check.

Err...ya think I wouldn't have asked this question earlier? Roll Eyes Smile

No negative responses. Surely, Saturday would likely be better, but no one has suggested Friday to be an issue.
