Sweet.
So did we say the theme is Italian?
Should we start listing the vino? Smile

The food is Italian, so I will be bringing Italian wines. A couple will be surprises. I am for an Italian theme, but would not turn away from any fine wine any fine guest would offer up.
If you all would like to list in advance, by all means list away.

Sure, don't see why not. I will also give him a call next week, thanks for the info.

Everything is changing in my camp. I'll be in LA next week and available for some dinner either Tues or Weds evening if anybody is up for some food and wine.

Re: Start time, does 8:00 work? It allows time for folks driving down from LA.

Re: Next week with benchland, I could do something Wed night. What part of LA will you be in?

Deryl,

Can a NEWBIE with a guest attend? If so, is there still time to add me?

Thanks,

Bob

I don't think we can have such a grand offline with so many first time/offlines in attendance without some bubbly for celebration!
So, I would love to bring a Mag of Krug (NV)
and for vino italiano, I think all I can contribute would be some older Sassicaia, the only other Italians I have are young BDM's and BDM Reserves. I think those are still way too young.

I was thinking about bringing a 1996 Allegrini Amarone and/or a 1996 Ornellaia.

If you can schedule it to close the day toward the south it would be easier.

I haven't decided what to bring yet. Probably be a last minute decision, you know, whatever is on sale at Trader Joe's. Cool

Here is the menu for June 20:

Upon Arrival
Baskets of cracker bread
Bruschetta
Assortment of cheese

Insalata
Giardino

Secondo Piatto (choice)
Pesce del Giorno
Pollo Marsala
Scallopin di Vitella al Limone

$42.50/person for food, totaling $55.00 per person with tax and tip. It will be great food. This is one of the best Italian restaurants in OC.
Can everyone please confirm so I have a good head count?

You French guys are so picky about your language! Wink

Here it is in my native language:
Crackers
Chopped tomatoes in salad oil on toast
Green dinner salad
Some kinda fancy baked fish
Fried chicken with brown gravy
Sliced roast veal with lemon squeezed on it

In any language, I am sure it will taste great! Big Grin

Deryl,

I am waiting to hear back from a friend of mine, hopefully by Monday, otherwise I will have to file a police report on a missing Spider... Wink

Hello Everyone!
Hey, so I just jumped into this "conversation" and I noticed Antonello's mentioned.
They are one of my restaurant clients that I book regularly. My pharmacutical reps love Antonello's!! In addition to myself.

Great Restaurant! Wonderful Wine List! Hope you are planning to make a reservation soon.
Did I mention beautiful ambience?! If not, take note. You won't be sorry. Great place for a perfect first impression on a first date.
