An Exploration of Past, Present and Future Wines

MONTEREY COUNTY, CA–On Saturday, April 24th (rain or shine) from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm wine aficionados are invited to spend the day in the Pinnacles back country of Monterey County where vintners of the Chalone Appellation will be greeting guests and pouring their wines. The following winemakers, wine growers and wineries (7) from the rugged appellation will be participating in this first annual tasting event:

Tantara Winery - Jeff Fink
Testarossa Vineyards - Bill Brosseau

The day long open house will take place at the Inn at the Pinnacles which is located at 32025 Stonewall Canyon Road (1/4 mile from Chalone Winery). There winemakers will be pouring various varietals including library selections, vertical vintages and barrel samples. Chefs from several well known Monterey County restaurants will also be participating:
Walter Manzke - Bouchée in Carmel
Matt Millea - Cielo at Ventana Inn & Spa in Big Sur
Hullaballoo in Salinas

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Richard H. Graff Scholarship Fund. The Woodward/Graff Wine Foundation is a California non-profit benefit corporation. The purpose of the Foundation is to award scholarships to deserving students of the art and science of wine, food and hospitality.

Inn at the Pinnacles is located two miles from the Pinnacles National Monument, west entrance, in the Gabilan Mountains of Monterey County. Take the Soledad exit off Highway 101, and follow signs toward Pinnacles National Monument. For complete directions visit the Inn’s website at www.innatthepinnacles.com.
