Just wanting to see what kind of interest there is in the Houston folk getting together soonish (not setting a date).

There's a good deal of BYOB spots here in town, and a few that do discount bottle nights.

I'd be happy to host something at my apartment, but 408 sq ft isn't real big.

And I suppose you Dallas and Austin cronies are welcome to come...

I'd be ready and willing. Lets figure out a time and a place, and I will try to get away from work so I can enjoy the fun!

NolanE, I am stunned that there has been only one response. Maybe everyone is on vacation. There are several posters from the Houston area, not the least of whom is GalvezGuy. Several of us make it to Houston (wine+art regularly) and if you keep the info flowing, we will sign on for when we are down there. Bump the thread if it drops too far. Eventually the Houstonians will see it.

If you ever get up to the Dallas area, tag one of us. We are always up for an impromptu offline.
Good luck.

If you're inclined there's a Houston poster on www.vinocellar.com and probably a half dozen on www.wineberserkers.com. You might join up and try there as well.

I haven't seen many of the Houston people posting much here (unless I'm just missing their posts).

I'll give this a little more time before I try to get some details sorted.

Nolan:

You know that I will be happy to join you again in a Houston off-line!!!

Name the date and I will try to join you...

Please check your e-mail. Wine+Art is coming to Houston this coming Monday (June 22nd) and he is available for an off-line.

I already confirmed my attendance and made reservations at a restaurant.

Also, GalvezGuy has also confirmed that he's meeting us as well.

"epryor": please contact Nolan or I if you're free to join us this coming Monday by posting your e-mail in this thread...

I am planning on opening a 2001 Casanova di Neri BdM Tenuta Nuova. Really want to check how this wine is evolving...

Jose, Michael and David; I believe I am scheduled to work late Monday (9PM). I will try to swap schedules with someone so I can attend. I'll confirm tomorrow one way or another and if my girlfriend will be joining us.

Even if you get off late, come on over.

I saw this forum post way too late so wondering how this went. I'm in Houston and interested in events like this to find some new wine favorites.

I missed the original post as well, I'm relatively new to the forum, and to Houston (moved to Bellaire from NJ in January), but I'd love to get involved as well.
