Festiva and Sarbuze will be in Toronto for the Italian offline there.

The restaurant owner said he doesn't mind if the restaurant name is on the internet. So, here it is:
Donna's at Cross Keys.
Here is the menu, which contains the address on the final page in the lower left hand corner:

How did I miss this? Wink It appears that I may be making the run (sans RV) to Toronto for the weekend, but depending on flight times I could be able to make this. I'd hate to miss the chance to hang out with BHV and cuffthis and the rest of the gang. Details to follow.

Surfacing...no harpoons evident...

Donna's on the deck in early June sounds fantastic. Count me in.

Alas, my flight home from Toronto arrives at 7:30 on Sunday at BWI. If I can manage, I'd love to join you all for dessert.

It sounds like this is coming together-- Thanks Irwin for lining up the restaurant!

What's the wine plan? Obviously I'm looking forward to bringing some Le Cadeau wines... or, we can do all Le Cadeau wines, if desired... but I don't want to hijack the dinner either. What would everyone like to do? (I should also be able to bring samples of our Le Cadeau "Red Label" wine, and our two new Aubichon wines, if interested).

Looking forward to seeing everyone again! Festiva, sorry you're out; PH, hope you can swing by on the way home.

I should have a menu to post within the next couple days, I hope.
My feeling is that we should have a theme which is just matched to the food.....I'd love to try either the Red Label or the Aubichon, and I have asked the chef to make sure one or more dishes are Pinot compatible.
When I get the menu, I'll post it and then attendees can post their wine matches. The dinner will include some hors d'ouevres, some appys (but not sure what), probably a pasta dish with duck (Pinot?) and perhaps Osso Bucco.
Salad served after the main courses and then some cheeses and fruits.
That's rough....more to follow.

6:00 p.m. works well for me!

I'll jump in with the first declaration:

'04 Le Cadeau Rocheux (Grilled "Striped Bass" with wild mushroom ragu)

Better cap this. (Unless Mr. Suckling or one of his colleagues wants to attend). Remember, we'll be outside, weather permitting... khakis and a shirt or even shorts are ok.

13 or so people and one declaration of wine. Hmmm.
I think that it is highly likely and well anticipated that BH Vineyards brings some Le Cadeau.
I better get down in the cellar and see what I have, though I was thinking that if we have 13 people, maybe I'll bring the sparklers to start and let you all fight over the still wines.

(And I didn't mean to insult the Canadians and start an international incident)

I'm thinking Italian reds to bring with me to go with the menu.

If so, count me and the Mrs. to bring the following:

Le Macchiole “Paleo” (Cabernet Franc), Bolgheri 2003
Isole E Olena “Cepparello” (Sangiovese/Cabernet Sauvignon), Tuscany 2003 (Mag)

Of course, this may be the ideal time to pop the 2002 Le Cadeau Mag Tom M. gave me last year
when we visited Cheze Mortimer.

Nice declarations, cuffthis... Paleo (since it's been Cab Franc) is one of my favorite wines. I've always wanted to try Cepparello.

This will be a good event... wish I was coming.

Wait... you said 2002 Mag??? I didn't know Tom mag-ed the 2002. He's holding out on us!!!! Wink
