You shouldn't keep punishing yourself just cuz you're a CU guy. Cool

Looking forward to the 10th.

I hope zmeu, Wine Joe, Gigond Ass, wineismylife or any other San Diegans are thinking about coming, if they can make it.

Just a quick reminder: I need the names and contact numbers of everyone who is going by the 8th, so I can put you on the guest list. Send them to my email IggyTr@aol.com. The only one I have so far is spo.

I thought it might be interesting for those attending to list what they're bringing. For me, it's:

2003 Joh. Jos. Christoffel Erben Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Auslese ***
2004 Mitolo Shiraz G.A.M.

And to entice zmeu and his better half into attending, for dessert I'll be bringing:
1977 Fonseca Porto Vintage

I'll also bring some stems. I look forward to seeing everyone there!

SD,
I am a little embarassed. I planned on bringing a bottle of Justin Justification 2004. Are any of your bottles 375 mls?

Doh! Definitely not my intent, there. Eek

They're all 750's, but I'm bringing them because I want to try and/or share them. And in the case of the Fonseca, I've been looking for an excuse to open this up so I can see if I want to pursue more of them as they come on the market. I just thought this would be a great time to do it.

By all means bring the Justin (I've never had one). I'm not trying to start any p!ssing matches over the wines being brought (I think I'd lose that contest to zmeu, at least, every day of the week, anyway Smile). It's just an opportunity to get together and try different wines with fellow winos.

I'm looking forward to trying your Justin!

wineismylife and WineJoe, and anyone else who wants to go, I still need your names and a contact number by tomorrow. Even if you're still not sure whether you're going to make it or not, I need to have them or you may not get in. If I put you on the guest list and you don't show, I don't get charged. So don't worry about giving me your info and then not coming. If you can't make it at 5 p.m., don't worry, we'll probably be there for quite awhile so don't worry about being late. My email is IggyTr@aol.com.

I'm planning on taking the following:

2004 Langwerth von Simmern Erbacher Marcobrunn Riesling Spaetlese
NV Laurent-Perrier Demi-Sec
plus whatever my parents decide to bring

Sean,

I'll send you an e-mail at the address you listed. I will plan on coming, but probably solo. Does not look like the wife will make it. Thanks for hosting.

Sean,

I emailed you my contact information. Hope to make it. I haven't a clue what I'll bring since I'll have to pick something up. I couldn't lug anything else along since I had to check a golf bag.

Got directions?

Joe

I wanted to warn everyone that it was fairly cold here last night and we may have more of the same tonight, so please bring a jacket with you.

Also, when you get to the front gate just tell them you're with the Tremblay party.

See you tonight.

A great event at a beautiful location! I enjoyed meeting Wine Joe and Mrs. Wine Joe and getting reaquainted with spo and the Tremblay's. And the line-up of wines was wonderful. I really enjoyed it - thanks to all!

Sorry we missed you WIML.

Ditto. The "Missus" and I had a nice time, and we enjoyed meeting everyone. Special thanks to the Tremblay's for hosting.
