Sean Tremblay is working on a byob/bbq at the San Diego Beach & Tennis Club (I think). The possible dates for the event are August 27th, September 9th or 10th. So San Diego members (and possible out of towners), who wants to come and what day works best for you?
Other than that, I am going to hand this one over to you Sean. Please give us the details.
Our next event will be at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club out on the beach. It will be a BYOB/BBQ on the beach, so bring something to grill for yourselves and something to share with everyone else, as well as a bottle of wine. We will also have to charge $10 per person because that's what we get charged. The club will provide a grill, table and chairs, we have to provide everything else. Attire is beach casual. They do have dolleys available if you bring anything heavy.
As spo said, possible dates are Aug. 27th or Sept. 9th or Sept. 10th @ 5 p.m. So let me know if you have a preference for a date or not and how many people are going. I will need names and contact numbers, you may either post them here or email them to me iggytr@aol.com. Please let me know ASAP.

Sorry guys, I'm gonna have to scratch off Sept. 9th, I just realized CU is playing CSU on tv. So, it will have to be either August 27th, or September 10th. If those don't work, I could always plan it for September 17th.

Can't make the 8/27 or 9/9 dates. Can probably do 9/10 or 9/17. My wife's ability to attend will depend on baby sitter availability. Sounds like a fun time. Thanks, Sean, for volunteering to host it at the club.

I am hoping for September 10th or the 17th. I think we should make a decision and narrow it down to one day so San Diegans can make a decsion and a commitment. It is hard to commmit to something that might be this week, that week or the next week.
Would love to come. I can probably get free for the 10th, but still not sure about the wife. Do we have a firm time set? If not, do we have a time estimate (i.e. lunch time, early afternoon, dinner time, etc.)? We have two small kids at home (pre-schoolers), and the wife can't come unless we have a sitter, but can't get a sitter until we know the time. I can give a firm yes/no answer if we have a definitive time as well as date.

Sean -- Sorry to highjack the thread for a minute, but I notice that your college football comments seem to have CU in common. Are you a CU Alum? I graduated from CU in 1982.

Yes, class of 2002. I am a member of the San Diego chapter of the CU alumni association and I go to most of their events. Mainly football watch parties and happy hours. We also have an annual wine tasting trip in Temecula.

No, but I was there when CU beat Texas 39-37 to win the Big 12, and when CU beat Nebraska 62-36 only to great screwed out of a Rose Bowl seat. Both were GREAT games, provided you're a CU fan.
