We could always break the pattern and do something short and sweet on a weekday night. Thoughts? May be a great opportunity to do a blind tasting with a few snick snacks.

Leave it to PH to keep us focused. A weeknight with snick snacks (hope that isn't a Montgomery County term for Kit Kats) could work!

Geez. The weather gets a little warmer and we get lethargic.... Roll Eyes

Festiva has indicated that he's free this Saturday. Anyone else available? Maybe just a steak and some cabs? Is there a decent steakhouse near Baltimore that allows BYO?

Wake up people!! Razz Wink

I have a work commitment during the day this Saturday, but am free for the evening. The only "steakhouse" I know of that allows BYO "near" Baltimore is my little hovel Smile

This Saturday is out due to family issues with Gf and travel issues with Festiva. I may be in Florida this weekend now.

Plan B?

Dirt to dirt, jelly to jelly. I'm out for Sat. [like its gonna happen] but mid-week, someplace near our side, is tolerable.

got sidelined this weekend thanks to kidney stones. (and yes, OUCH!!! is an appropriate response, believe me). hoping to come off the DL any day now. my wife is out of town tomorrow night (wed. 5.16) and again next tues. and wed. nights (5/22 and 23), so i am available solo for a BYOB mini offline (the less expensive and the closer to me the setting, the better the likelihood i can attend).

I'm looking forward to inviting y'all across the river to my place... but still in the middle of putting in new flooring. Trim pieces are due in by end of month, so potential for June or July offline Chez Lentini.

I'm not helping with your May wine Jones, am I, PH?

I'm away this weekend and all next week and have family coming in during Memorial Day weekend, but would like to do something before May is over.

Would anyone be available for dinner the 29th, 30th, or 31st?

If not, would it be worth trying to put something together for the 1st weekend in June?

I could do any of those dates. Doesn't have to be anything fancy. If we wait until June (and I'd hate to miss a month) Frown we have plenty of time to plan.

Then how 'bout this:

I'm going to go to dinner Wednesday the 29th at the same place you guys went last month. I'll be there by 6 and drink at the bar until I get hungry and order off the menu. Anyone care to join me? If so, great! If not, then I'll be happy drinking a bottle of '90 La Tache all by myself.

As far as June goes, I'm pretty wide open at the moment. Any dates look better than others? As the #2 wine critic in Maryland and local big-shot, I'd like to see if PH can pull off an event at the restaurant we went to after the O's game. That place would really be a blast for an offline...

I should have called right after you spun that load of blarney so they'd still remember! Roll Eyes I think I still have the banquet director's card somewhere. I'll give her a ring when I'm feeling particularly creative.... Razz

I think Festiva was sampling a bit of his '90 La Tache as he was posting...

Is it Wed the 30th or Tues the 29th?? Maybe that is the MD calendar you are using?
