The Irwins were generous hosts! Hey, wasn't this supposed to be nibbles or "snick snacks" as PH refers to them? Wink Smile

Great group of people. Nice array of bubbly & sweeties. Cool

Love the pic captions, PH! Big Grin Smile

I'm off to order a cheesecake from one of the places in the City that does a mean one. Unless, of course, GF would be willing to make and send me one... Eek Wink Smile To my knowledge, UPS hasn't yet confiscated a cheesecake...

Great pics! How did PH manage to fit into the suit of armour!

I'm still kicking myself for having missed this one. Looks as if a great time was had by all!

Glad to hear about the 05 Baumard. You guys really think it could be better than the 02? Glad I stocked up!

Yes, the first is a charcoal by Chagall, and the 3rd is a Dali. You got them.
#2 is by Erte. #4 is by Odilon Redon, a French master (1840-1916).
Pretty good that you could get those that fast.

irwin,

We own Chagall's and Dali's and have many books on each, so that helped. Wink

I will look the other two up... thanks for the tip.

Actually, the armor was cometspider sized. He would have fit perfectly! The QdC was freaking stunning. 97 PH points on a tired palate.

irwin,

I have been spending time on Redon this week. His Saint John caught my eye. A little Gauguin meets Chagall. Cool

Were the four photo's PH shot representative of the rest of your collection, Surrealism?

Our collection is sort of eclectic, I guess.
We like art deco and things in that era.
