I haven't been on this board in ages...

TBIRD!!! WHen ya coming back??!!??

21 people is a pretty good turnout! And therein lies an apparent difference between LA folks on WLTV and WS. Looks like a very good time was had by all ... I think I may need to start spending some time at WLTV.

that's their annual gathering, check their board , the socal peopel rarely get together. Better to stick to e-bob =)

Clayfu,

Not sure how an event in June, August and October work out to an annual event...and those are just the last three! There are also non-public gatherings that I've seen where many of the board members toss together a last minute "meet at a wine shop and over-run it for wine and cheese" kinda things.

Feel free to stick to e-bob if you like...but each of the boards are different and have different types of events. Sure, there's some overlap, but you really need to try them all out before you really know what your preferences are.

I only said stick to E-bob due to frequency. I only noted two offlines in 3 pages and the other one didn't seem too large. Thank you for correcting me. Speaking of which maybe you should try a WS event?

Clayfu,

But those three pages take you back to August. 3 pages here looked like 2 events and a couple of misses, but that was back to January.

I even posted on one of the missed OL's--the one in June--that I was having one later that month.

I'm with the CRS group that was here a while back--flubis, landshark, Gigond Ass, T-Bird and a few others whose names here I don't recall anywhere as well as their real names.

I like CRS events better, quite honestly. Also like them better at the CASA since restaurants typically frown upon 6-8 hour gatherings...they'd rather turn the tables.

I've been to a couple of Ron's off-line's. A good time to be had by all!! Hopefully I'll be able to come to one of the WS off-line's sometime soon.

the number of replies to this thread before this event was cancelled compared to the number of replies after really highlights the sad state of affairs when it comes to trying to organize an L.A. offline on this board Frown

brash, i wouldn't give up yet.

it seems most of the older posters simply don't post much anymore, or when they do they don't check the offline section much.

but i see enough new people that one would think it could still happen.

have faith, try again, see what happens...

Smile
