Any time is good for us.

Do we want to do a theme or just bring whatever?

I don't recall doing themes in the past, and usually like to have a nice mix of different regions and varietals, but I leave it to MLV's discretion. May also be a good idea to edit the title to Boca July 18 from WPB in June as some may think we're talking about one already done and some Dade people may now make the trip (a la redknife).

Suddenly this is up to me??? I don't so much care about a theme, but if anyone else wants to have one, speak up.

We are up to 8:

MLV & JC
Jburman & Kim
Vinole & Mrs. V.
Redknife & Mrs. R.

He (or she) who sets the date and makes the reservations gets dibs on theme. Wink Whatever anybody wants to do is fine with me too.

No doubt. Wish we could make it down for this one, but we must pass. They do make an amazing duck.

I vote for themeless.

MLV I may ask my sister in law who lives in Boca to join us; so could you please add two more?

OK. No theme. Bring what you want, as long as it is good.

So far:
MLV & JC
Jburman & Kim
Vinole & Mrs. V.
Redknife & Mrs. R.
Redknife-in-laws
Jorgerunfast +1

That is 12. I will make the reservation soon.

Reservation is made. Apparently I do not rate like Board-O, but spoke with Eric and he is willing to do $40 corkage (that is total, not each!). I think that is perfectly reasonable.

Party of 12, Saturday June 18 at 7PM.
See you all there.

MLV thanks for taking the lead.
Sister in-law not coming so that will make 10; may want to leave it open in case anyone else shows up.

Can't wait to see you guys again.

You picked a great restaurant for great food. I just wish they'd move to the good part of the state. Big Grin

Sounds good to me - we haven't decided what we are bringing. Perhaps we will throw some idea out today and see if anyone has any thoughts

I dont have any whites worth bringing so I was going to bring 2 reds. I was thinking a pinot for the duck, probably A.P. Vin, and I have a few aged bordeaux I have been dying to try.

Sounds good - I have not run these by MLV yet, but let me know if there is interest in the following -don't know if peopel want us to bring a white and red or 2 reds, let us know if there is any opinion.

For whites, we could bring:
1999 Zind-Humbrecht Pinot Gris Rangen de Thann Clos St. Urbain
2000 Trimbach Gewurztraminer Vendanges Tardives (for something a little sweeter)
2001 Muelenhof Auselese Riesling
ANy of a number of assorted 03 Rieslings

For Reds - lots of options - Let me know preferences - we have an 01 Torre Muga I have been eying. Could bring a priorat - a 2000 Bordeaux a long the lines of Prieure Lichine, Haut Bages Liberal or Armaillac; a CDP or any varietal from Cali, Pinot, Syrah, Zin - whatever. If anyone has a preference, let me know.
