No problems with sharing with staff - I've done it there before and they know me for it.

As for corkage, they're already giving us their old rate, so I wouldn't expect much more leeway.

That said, their food prices are so low that it's not a big deal!

I have no idea what to bring, since I also don't own much in the way of Pinot Noir (other than a handful of under-$20 varieties). I'm open to suggestions, though, so let me know your thoughts. I'm happy to bring a couple of non-sparkling whites to round things out. Or, I could bring some non-pinot reds (Bordeaux, Rhone, CalCab, etc.). Any thoughts?

Slan,

There’s a 99 pommard from Remoissenet that was released as as ISD within the last couple of weeks. It's still on the shelves. The product number is 36061.

Another suggestion is from a California producer called Patz & Hall. The product number is 38091. It was an ISD.

Still lots of NZ pinots, too, from the recent release. I don't have any suggestions there, but I'm sure a product consultant will be able to help.

Actually, I've wanted to try the Patz & Hall pinot. I'll take a look for it.

That's one bottle I can scratch off my possible list.

I'll probably bring a 99 Girardin Pommard Les Charmots 1er Cru or a 2002 Freddy Magnien Chambolle Musigny Vielles Vignes.

I'll bring a bottle of Belle Glos Taylor Lane '03 and a Taittinger to start. The former being one of the only Pinots I ever liked, and the latter because I'm sure everyone else is bringing something better, so I thought I'd better bring two :P

I had a lot of fun last night and would hate to miss a pinot noir tasting. If I count the roll correctly, there seems to be room for one more. I'd like to attend. I will bring an 03 Kosta Browne Russian River.

Ok, I think we need to have a discussion on the quantity of wine we'll be bringing to dinner. With the size of group, we're will end up with relatively small pours. I'd still like to see the quality of wine be high, so does anyone have comments on any of the following possible scenarios:

1.) Each person brings two bottles of the same wine.

2.) Each person brings one bottle

3.) Each person brings one bottle, but pairs up with someone else. We end up with a smaller selection of wines, but a larger pour.

If anyone has other suggestions or thoughts, let me know.

Again, the objective here is to have great wine on the table.

You can count me out. 13 people is, IMHO, too many people for anyone to get a decent pour at an offline.

As the last to join, I think that it makes more sense for me to bow out. I hope to join you again at a future event.

I've got a friend interested too, if a spot opens up. I guess it's doubtful, but hey, worth a shot.

Scratch my Taittinger contribution, I'll be bringing one bottle of Le Grand Clos and the Belle Glos!

I will see what I have 2 bottles of. I have tons of red Burgs but mostly single bottles or really high end and not ready to drink.

I may bring 2 different singles.

Oh, and my wife is 50/50 at this point regarding attendance, so her spot will likely open up.
