Which ones were corked? And did Dok bring *2* mags of 1990 Beaucastel? What a guy!

The 1990 Beaucastel was badly corked. An attempt at trying Saran wrap was unsuccessful. Pity, since I've been sitting on this for many years to finally open with special friends. On a positive note, the Quilceda, Dead Arm and pegau were all terrific. Amazing how much the Dead Arm has evolved. With only 2 hours of decanting it was quite enjoyable, but could still benefit from a couple more years of cellaring. The white wines all showed well and went well with the appetizers. Amy failed to make a cameo appearance, but rumour has it she was seen with Mimikos on "Spark" street. Must have been truly electrifying.

Hello Sweatred. We tend to have offlines whenever visitors come to town, but lately the only visitor has been DoktaP. But that doesn't mean that we can't offline on our own, even though I seem to be the only (semi-) regular Ottawa poster here any more, since carriedca is busy being a Dad and the other Ottawa posters seem to do so for a few weeks then vanish.

I usually have an annual meeting the first weekend in April (if you can wait that long).
I may be in Ottawa sooner for a conference. I'll keep you posted.
