If Flubis or Landshark come, then I will "step it up", and we all know that everyone benefits when it's time to "step it up".

Current count is 9 (good chance my wife won't make it).

Zinerator
Wineplease +1
Ron D. Banquer +1
Jfont +1
Vinyrd Skynyrd
kumazam

Let me know if there's anyone else by tomorrow!

I'm still debating what I'm going to bring. If I can escape work early tomorrow and get to my offsite, it could be one thing. If not, could be one of a couple of others....hmmm....I'm bouncing around between napa and parts of Italy and don't know what to do... Smile

Ok - now we're 8.

Reservations have been made at BISTRO LQ for 7:30pm.

Address:

8009 Beverly Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90048-4503
(323) 951-1088

www.bistrolq.com

I've done dinners like this before here and they work with you on the corkage. It'll probably work out to be $10/bottle.

See you all tomorrow night!

I just lost my first jury trial today. I'll be good & ready to drown my sorrows tomorrow night...

And just to warn everyone, I have an acute case of YCS (young cellar syndrome). My bottles tend to be either cheap-to-moderate and ready now, or moderate-to-expensive and far from ready. But that's OK, I'm not looking to win any competitions here.

I was wondering if he'd be showing off his new "ankle-bracelet".

Sorry you lost your case. That sucks. Which is why you're gonna drown your sorrows tomorrow night! And don't make excuses for what you're going to bring. Pick something you're excited to share with everyone!

BTW - are we revealing what we're bringing? I went Italian.

What's 120 lbs, brown and black, and looks good on a lawyer?

BTW, count us in for an '02 Corte Riva cabernet and an '02 Marquis Philips "9" shiraz. With any luck, I will be able to get home in time to open and properly decant both.

I'm bringing an '04 Zenato Amarone. We had an Amarone dinner for a monthly wine dinner I organize and this is the one that won it by a landslide (we had about 8 Amarone's that night - never do that again). A bunch of us ran out and bought a case of it after that evening. That was about a year ago so should be doing even better now!
